Penny Sparks of Indianapolis decided to go shopping at Nordstom's. She also decided it would suck to bring her 2-year-old son along, so she left him locked in the car on a 45-degree day. That was at 2 in the afternoon...

Four hours later, police received a call from Sparks saying she couldn't remember where she parked her Toyota. She told the dispatcher that she thought she knew where it was, but after walking for a few blocks searching, "I am too tired to walk," she said.

Let's review, shall we? You've left your son in a locked car for four hours. But you're too friggin' tired to see if he's okay?

Police found her car with the boy sleeping inside. Paramedics thought the he might be suffering from hypothermia, so they rushed him to the hospital. The boy was apparently okay, but mom isn't.

She's been charged with neglect, and the kid's been placed with child services.
