• IowaGrammy, I agree with all you said. Your a very wise woman. I also like the grammy part of your name! Its what my daughter and nieces call my mom!! Don't see it very often! As for DB, if your going to insult someone, learn some grammar. I'm usually not a grammar nazi, but its really hard to understand any of your babbling. But, here I go. Yes, I couldn't wait for my daughter to go to preschool. Why? Because its just another step towards her growing up. Yes, I do zumba. It takes 2 hours out of my life. I think my husband and daughter are just fine while I'm away. Just because I am a stay at home mom does not mean I cannot have any time to myself. I don't have a computer, so I don't sit on the computer all day to read about everyone else's business. I read about it on my blackberry. And, no I do not think being a stay at home mom sucks nor does my life suck. Its been a very interesting journey, but it has never sucked. As for the rest, I honestly have no clue what your saying! Seriously, learn proper grammar the next time you insult me! That way I can actually defend myself! Hmmmmmm........sounds like another commentator whose equally rude and moronic. Could be wrong about who you really are, but I doubt it.

• I dunno about giving her a pass because she just made a mistake. She didn't forget to pick her kid up at soccer practice... she left the fking state. I also call bullshit on the single mom/no supportive dad-don't judge unless you've been there excuse too. I raised my kid without a father from day one, and if I wasn't prepared for the responsibility, I'd have given him away. At the dumb age of 17 I knew you don't leave a kid alone, age 2 months or age 12 years. It didn't occur to her at some point while she was making travel plans to hook up with her boyfriend that she should make arrangements for her kid? She may be reading this, people who know her may be reading this and its hurtful to be judged, but thats what public information does. Lets see her atone for it, if she can. I'm personally sick and tired of seeing females who choose a man over the well being of their children. Experience should teach us all that a lover will disappoint you and hurt you sooner or later, but your children will be there for life... is it so hard to reciprocate that?

• I would just like to say that we all need to be careful with what we are doing here. Personally, we need to remember that when we judge people, we will be judged with the same scale as well. Once you post something, you need to be for certain that you will not have to put you foot (and in this case, your whole leg) into your mouth. If we spent half the amount of time helping those who need help, than the world would not be in such a state it is in now. This woman has done wrong, and has said so,(the hardest thing to do - ever is to admit a wrong going) and now we use MODERN MEDIA to crush her even more, instead of finding a way to help her heal. What a shame. What are our lives worth? People who share hatred, are those that tend to have been judged the most. Just remember, no one is perfect, and love is not love until you give it away. For those of us that are so concerned with the way a mother shows her love to her children, what are you doing in your comminity to prevent this from happening to other single parent families? Because there are only 2 types of people in the world: those who solve problems, and those who create problems. Which one are you?

• Marie Heck I'm sure you'ld call the police on your own children. Let alone your sister. And I'm quite certain you're one of those mother that your children secretly hate and will never talk to once they are out of the house. And there are thousands of parents who give there children up for adoption everyday b/c they can't handle and infant or don't give a dam. If every parent is like you say there would be no child services or adoption agencies. And PS comment of the day must have been just exciting as your childs first steps if you lifes so great that would be the least exciting thing of the day why I would imagine Gee. Stay at home mom I imagine to life must be so hard having free time to go to Zumba, bet you couldn't wait for preschool to start and getting your kid out of the house so you'ld have time sitting on the computer and commenting about everyones business and hoping when you started 6yrs ago that you could get comment of the day oh just once pls just once. And FREE of course she had time b/c her life SUCKS and is boring and thats' why she waists her life away commenting on everybody elses and meanwhile she doesn't see how much hers Sux b/c she believes happiness is being a stay at home mom, whose husbands provides, while she goes off to Zumba and whatever else she does, so I don't think she really understands how hard life can be sometimes. JUST MY OPINION won't force that down anyones throught oh Gee it would just make my aboslute day if I can be comment of the day and get to gloat oh Yippie how I've waited. B/C it means so much on the internet you know. Oh life would finally be wonderful and just perfect finally if I could be comment of the day. :) I feel bad for Mrs. Dumbass a box of nails (AKA Marie Heck) I think when we refer to her it should just be as the Dumbass b/c then she can be excited by getting a nickname on here too.

• Love bug, I'm going to assume your her sibling, so its natural to defend her. But, had my sister done this, you bet your ass I would be calling the cops and children services, no matter how much I love her. Hell, if my sister did this and was on this website, I would be outraged right along with everyone else. It wouldn't be because I don't love her, cause I do. But, as a parent, there are some things you don't do. You do not leave your child alone while you fly across the country to get some from a boyfriend. Where the hell are this womans priorities at? And when the cops called her, she still doesn't come back? I'm sorry, you go ahead and defend her all you want, but I stand by my original comment. And you know nothing about my life. My mom was pretty much a single mom. But even when she was working 4 or 5 jobs, she still made sure there was someone responsible enough to watch us. She didn't just leave us alone, hoping we would be able to take care of ourselves. And I was a single mom for almost 3 years. I never left my daughter alone, not even to go 2 doors down to my best friends house. So don't sit there and tell me I don't know what its like, cause I do. And she may have had a hard time, but you know what. So do a lot of other people. And don't sit there and tell people she did the best with what she had, cause that is a bunch of bull. There are thousands of single parents out there who don't do this type of stuff. They know their number one job is their kid(s). Why didn't she leave her with someone? Why didn't she wait til the girl had a break in school and take her with her why didn't the boyfriend visit her? And so what if in 5 months it will be legal for her to stay by herself? That doesn't mean she can now. That would be like telling someone "in 5 months you will be old enough to legally drive/smoke/drink, might as well do it now!" There are too many freaks out there nowadays, why would you even chance something like this? That's just asking for trouble. What would she have done if someone kidnapped her? Or raped her? Or killed her? Or all 3? Then what? But, like I said. I'm thinking your one of her siblings, so if you wanna defend her, have at it buddy. But I highly doubt your gonna find anyone else defending her here. And rightfully so.

• Marie Heck atleast you have a husband who is there for you and your doughter while this mom didn't...The father left as soon as the doughter was born...Plus you have no idea what her life has been like in the past so before you say what you want to say get all your facts straight first..This mam has been trying her hardest and all seven of us were left home alone around that age in about 5 months this girl will be 12 which will be the legal age for her to stay home alone..Plus a mom like her can do so much with what she has been through

• Wth, Um ever hear of sarcasm?! Yea, I was a little excited about having one of my comments be "comment of the day" but its not like it was the highlight of my life (sorry Pete!). And if this is a crappy,shitty ass website, why are you here? And your right, I haven't walked a mile in this "moms" shoes. I would never even take a step in her shoes. She is not a mom, she is a useless waste pretending to be a mother. Can't put someone down for being a mom when they aren't one to begin with. If she was a mom, she should have stayed and took better care of her daughter. And you know, the people who keep asking what I do all day that I can be on this site and comment so much, well I actually had typed out what a typical day for me is like. Then I thought, "who gives a crap." I'm a stay at home mom taking at home classes, but I do get some breaks. And I have a blackberry which pretty much means I can get on the internet, be it this site or others, anytime I want! Its great! Ps at 5 pm that day, my daughter was taking a nap while we sat and waited for my husband. Oh, and she is in preschool. Not much homework to do in preschool. And supper was already prepared, just had to come home and pop it into the oven. But I'm glad for your concern!

• wow you life must be really excited if what makes you beyond excited is that you are comment of the day on a crappy, shitty ass, website. Good for you, I am sure that all these hours of the day spent reading the posts on this website couldn't be spent being a better parent. I am sure at around 5 pm most kids need to be fed and have help with their homework. PS I am pretty sure Marie's comment was meant to put someone down. • Great comment Marie. I am amazed that people like Free have nothing better to do with their time than pick on someone's grammar. My understanding is, people who feel the need to put others down over petty things, are insecure and by belittling others is their sick way of making themselves look better. Bravo Free, you just showed everyone on this site exactly what you are. Good job!
