"To say that these people are monsters is to state the obvious. I cannot help but wonder just why the other children did not tell someone. Or to slip the kid some food. Surely they were old enough to feel some pity for the kid? Or perhaps they became so inured to the kids suffering they took it as a matter of course and normal.
"This child was tortured by his real mother and then given to the father, only to go through the whole thing again. If this boy is ever normal, it will only be through years of psychological therapy. And that would go for the rest of the children for different reasons. To try to undo all they were witness to.
"I wonder what their ages were? But of course they will go into foster care. There is no possible way this man will ever get his children back, no matter what. I hope they imprison this pair forever.
"How a father could allow such a thing is incredible but unfortunately now a days, not unusual. The step mother seems to be getting the lion share of the blame. But to me the father is equally culpable. After all he is the father. What a crime."
