Once, he chased 55-year-old John Robert McGraham down the street, kicking him in the back. When the barber shop's owner found out, Martin's ass was fired.
So three months later, Martin returned to the scene with a bucket of gas, some road flares, and revenge in mind.
He found McGraham, who was mentally disabled but considered harmless by neighborhood people, standing in a parking lot. Martin splashed him with the bucket of gas and lit him up with the road flare, then fled.
Passersby tried to put the fire out. But McGraham was burned over 90 percent of his body. He was essentially burned alive.
Police wouldn't arrest Martin until months later. But he eventually pleaded guilty to the murder. Yesterday, he was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
