Brandon Hayes, This Guy's Gotta Die: Beat, Tortured 4-Year-Old to Death for Wetting His Pants

Dominick Calhoun was beaten and tortured to death because he wet his pants and his real dad was a child support deadbeat

​In today's episode of This Guy's Gotta Die, we present Brandon Joshua-Frederick Hayes, a 24-year-old man from Genesee County, Michigan. He decided to beat, kick and torture his girlfriend's 4-year-old son, Dominick Calhoun, for wetting his pants.

Evidence: He was living in Michigan with his girlfriend Corrine Baker and her 4-year-old son. But it seems the boy has a problem with wetting his pants. Hayes, however, was also pissed that Dominick's real father is a deadbeat when it comes to child support. So he decided to take it out on the kid.

True Crime's verdict: Make this sick little fuck dead

​When Dominick peed his pants one time too many, Hayes "systematically beat" the boy, according to police. He punched and kicked him on his arms, legs and genitalia over a multi-day period. He also burned the boy, whose knuckles were charred.

Mom witnessed some of the beatings and tried to intervene, but she too was beaten. It wasn't until Baker's sister and her friends came over to buy dope from Hayes that anyone bothered to call police. Seeing the condition of the boy, they called Dominick's grandpa, who in turn called the cops.

But by the time an ambulance arrived, Dominick was barely alive. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced brain dead. He was taken off life support the next day.

Hayes is now charged with premeditated murder, child abuse, and torture. Police are still investigating Baker.

Dominick's mom claims she covered his body with hers to stunt the blows, but she never took him to the doctor

Corrine Baker refused to take Dominick to the doctor because she was worried Child Services would get involved

​She'd previously claimed that she did everything she could to stop the beatings administered to Dominick, including covering his body with her own to stunt the blows. But police don't believe she did nearly enough to stop the abuse. She's now charged with second-degree murder and child abuse.

Prosecutors says she had many chances to flee the apartment and get Dominick to the doctor. Brandon Hayes' father even noticed the boy's injuries, but Corrine declined to get them treated.

Hayes had outstanding warrants, detectives say, and Corrine didn't want Child Services to get involved. So she never took him to the doctor before he was murdered. She also kept him in an apartment that had a constant stream of drug buyers, leaving him in a "high-risk environment," according to prosecutors.
