• No way, she looked at that time like she does now... ewww... and theres no way I'd hit it after my roomate did. Not that the thought didnt cross my mind... I just puke a little in my mouth, again.

• You grabbed your stuff and got the hell out of there... *shifty eyes* ... after you hit that? I mean... you could have said "Sure! Let's celebrate by boning!" and then just left.

• Holy Crap! My old roomate dated Bobbi, and I knew that something wasn't right. One night they had a fight and he stormed out, about 15 min later she asked me to marry her. I grabbed my stuff and got the hell out of there. Im glad I did. I was one of Bobbi's roomates along Jessica Carter, whish she had been as lucky.

• I know their are women like this and even men everywhere but come on she was nothing much to look at! And I would like to know why the so called families and friends that have her kids never looked for their fathers at all? I fell bad for these kids.... I hope every man that had a kid by her gets their children and she never gets to see tham again(if she ever saw them anyway).  I fell for an idiot once too and left with 3 kids and a garbage bags with all of our clothes in it, I was married 5 years to him. He got everything I had BUT MY KIDS! I hope them men get their kids and she dont ge tout til she is 70, then let her hang out around the army base!

• I am Jessica Carter.. The old roommate. And to answer many questions of why, she is very trusting whenever you first meet her. She will have you believing everything that she says, and does. She had something to back up almost every story she had, even though there was a few times that she slipped up, and we would catch her in one of her many lies. I never thought that something like this would ever happen to me, but it did, and I just hope that justice is served with her. Rot in Hell Bobbi. That is where you deserve to be.

• My son is in the USAF stationed in Japan and just recently returned from his first deployment. He married just like this.....the girl is horrible.....very high maintenance......$2,000 hair extensions, fake eye colors, fake nails, fake boobs, fake eye lashes....a true Vegas style call girl! Our son had chatted a few times on line with her from Japan, came home on leave on a Friday and announced his engagement on Saturday. Its been almost a year and he has spent a grand total of 33 days in her physical presence....he barely has any money left from his deployment and she says he is the perfect husband as all his money comes home to the states........my son was so lonely....so scared.....and the whole thing has nearly broken us, but NOT quite. We will be standing strong when the nightmare ends and the girl will slink away into the black hole from which she came.........

• Don't pass judgement on the victims of Bobbi Ann Finley until you hear the rest of the story being aired Sep 24 on ABC 20/20. This week's People magazine has an article but it fails to show the depth of her 17 years of scams. Corrections to previous posts, her children weren't given up for adoption within weeks of their birth. In fact there are DCS reports on at least 5 of the children that were abandoned or removed by DCS. Many of her family members are guilty also as they've known for years what she does to young boys in our military but they have chosen to look the other way. Many victims have been guests in their homes and weren't warned of Bobbi's scams. Why would they when they have taken children from their fathers because they couldn't have their own? Many have received money, vehicles, home furnishings, clothing and even been taken on shopping sprees. With all expenses paid by Bobbi using multiple victims open and closed accounts.

• Hey Frank I did ask her and she told me she was the daughter of General Zuni, she even got PMO to give her a Blue paper pass to get on base. Sorry but I don't think I deserved anything she was serving. Took me 10 years to get everything straight.

THAT MY SON'S FAMILY NEEDED TO CORPORATE AND SEND HER MONEY WHILE HE WAS AT WAR WHEN HE WOULD DEPLOY. SHE WANTED HIM TO CHANGE HIS LIFE INSURANCE IN HER NAME. SHE WENT AS FAR TO MAKE HIM LIE TO HIS HIGHER UP'S AND TELL THEM HE HAD GOTTEN MARRIED AND WANTED TO CHANGE HIS BENEFICIARIES. ANYWAY DURING ALL THIS TIME SHE WAS ALSO IN CONTACT WITH OTHER MARINES AND THIS CERTAIN SGT. I TALK TO THIS SGT. AND KNEW HIM PERSONALLY. HE HAD BEEN TO OUR HOME ALSO, HE WOULD DRIVE MY SON HOME ON THE WEEKENDS. THE SGT. WAS ONE OF MY SON'S DRILL INSTRUCTORS IN BOOT CAMP. THAT SGT. WANTED TO BE MY GRANDDAUGHTERS BOYFRIEND. MY GRANDDAUGHTER WAS MY WANTING ANYTHING LIKE THAT WITH THE SGT. THE SGT. DID NOT LET ANY OF THE OTHER MARINES GET CLOSE TO MY GRANDDAUGHTER. MY SON AND THE SGT. WERE ALREADY HAVING SOME PROBLEMS I DID NOT KNOW HOW BAD THEY WERE. ON 8-12-2007 MY SON CALLED ME AND SAID SOME UGLY THINGS TO MY HUSBAND AND I. I WAS CRYING I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT MY SON WAS SAYING. I TOLD MY HUSBAND THAT WAS NOT OUR SON TALKING IT WAS THAT WOMAN THAT WAS MAKING HIM DO ALL THIS. DURING THIS TIME THE WOMAN AND THE SGT. WERE ALSO TALKING. THE WOMAN WAS TELLING MY SON THAT THE SGT. WAS WANTING TO BE WITH HER ALSO. LET TELL YOU THAT AT FIRST I BELIEVED EVERYTHING THIS WOMEN WAS SAYING. UNTIL I STARTED TELLING MY SON THAT HE NEEDED TO SEE WHAT THIS WOMEN WAS DOING TO HIM AND THE FAMILY. HOW COULD HE BE GIVING MONEY TO SOMEONE THAT HE HAD NEVER MEET. ON 8-14-07 I CALLED SGT. THE DRILL INSTRUCTOR CRYING AND LEFT A MESSAGE ASKING HIM TO PLEASE TALK TO SOMEONE TO GET MY SON MOVED AWAY FROM THIS WOMAN. SHE WAS DESTROYING OUR FAMILY. MY SON'S CELL PHONE WAS ABOUT $1,300.00 IN ONE MONTH. ONE MARINE POSTED ON MYSPACE RIP BRO ON 8-19-2007 AT 5:00PM AND MY SON WAS FOUND BY HIS ROOMATE AT 1:00AM 8-20-2007. HOW DID THIS PERSON KNOW THAT MY SON WAS DEAD ON THE 19TH??? MY SON MADE LANCE CORPORAL IN 10 MONTHS. HE WAS VERY HANDSOME, NOT BECAUSE HE WAS MY SON. MILITARY SAID HE TOOK HIS OWN LIFE. I DON'T BELIEVE IT MY SON WOULD NEVER TAKE HIS OWN LIFE HE WAS VERY OUT GOING AND IN BOOT CAMP HE COULD NOT BE BROKEN.. I WAS TOLD BY THE SGT. I HAVE ASKED THE DEPT OF JUSTICE TO LOOK INTO MY SON'S CASE AND THEY ARE NOW INVESTIGATING HIS CASE. THERE ARE SO MANY EVIL PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD AND IT'S A SHAME THAT THEY ARE TARGETING ARE SOLDIERS. THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WRONG WITH WHAT WENT ON WITH MY SON..WHATEVER HAPPENED I FEEL THAT SOMEONE KILLED MY SON...THIS WOMAN ALSO KNEW THE BASE VERY WELL AND LIED REAL GOOD..

• No one asked her about her father? There aren't that many Marine generals out in the Marine Corps. What command is he commanding? where is he at?.... They deserve it! Even the the dumbest Marine grunt would ask her those questions

• It sounds like Ms. Finley has a personality disorder. People with Borderline Personality Disorder do this kind of thing often. She might also be a sociopath. They are know to sweep a man/woman of their feet (by mirroring them or making them believe they are their savior), marry them and then things get ugly. Marrying a stranger is common for these folks. They are usually sex addicts, shopaholics, drug addicts, criminals running from the law for not paying their bills, etc They have very stormy relationships with everyone that comes into their lives. Life is hell for the families. Other reports suggest she has nine kids she abandoned. Poor kids! Someone should put Bobbi Ann in jail or a mental hospital jail. She needs to be off the streets.

• This books already written, at least a frighteningly similar story. Read A Lifetime of Deception by PJ Grondin (Okay, it's me). But I am not lying, my novel is a very close parallel to what Bobbie Ann Finley is doing. Eerie, to say the least.

• I too know this woman and a victim of her crime (in a different way). What is amazing to me and what her pix don't show - she has rotten nasty teeth. However, she plays into the fundamental flaw of human nature - GREED. We are ALL looking for our golden ticket. Funny what we will overlook for the promise of a better life. This woman is truly evil to the core of her being. She is a sociopath and she is NOT working alone. Her mother & niece are all working together. It would be even more criminal to pay her family for an interview or to glam this up in any way. James Bain - Perhaps you could apply to be her publicist / manager.

• @Tiffany & James. have you taken a look at the average payscale for a person in the military? it isnt much I can tell you. even if your housing is on or off base. pretty much just enough for the basics as well a couple of small things. you learn quick to make a budget to afford things normally more easily obtained by ones not serving in the military. I'm just hoping one of the dudes that she cleaned out isnt one of my relatives. to be told that she might have money coming to her. if only she gets married. tends to make guys think that it can be used to make him be able to keep a wife in the comfort she was used to before the marriage. as in amount of clothing, food she likes, etc... as well as a possible down payment on a house to raise a family. actually guys are not as afraid of commitment as the stereotype makes them sound like. they just want that gal that is as close to their idea of a perfect wife and mom to his kids. it also used to be a common thing for a man to bestow upon his daughter a dowry. one that could only be gotten when she married. which would and could be used in a will. but normally it tends to be only in certain countries. normally not the USA. which makes does seem pausable, but at the same time, hard to swallow. and having the experience of having Marines in my family. as well as coworkers. they can be, how to say it, rather old fashioned on how they view women. as to be married and under some guy's thumb. ...my dad being that way, disappointed at his death i was not under a husband's thumb and popping out kids left and right...

• Bain was long-winded. However verbose he was, he tried to make a good point. Its an unfair assessment that self-educated people are less valuable in online interaction than formally educated people. 'Desk Chair Scholar' is an interesting phrase, does that mean anyone who sits at a desk? in a chair? Or an expert on the devices in the phrase? Perhaps you meant to criticize anyone who demonstrates intellect through complex literary interaction, which is pretty much a lame excuse for insensitivity. His was over-the-top, admittedly, but coming back so harsh on him was kinda effed up. Clara's comment about Stephanie Meyers is funny though, nice one. If she wins a Nobel for Twilight, Nicolas Sparks should get a lifetime achievement award for his continued work writing "original and innovative" love stories ^_^ riiiiiiight Anyhow, the issue at hand... is very unfortunate, and I hope no other dudes fall for it. The last thing to worry about when you are getting shot at is whether or not you're gonna be able to keep the money you risked your life to earn. Like any other scam hindsight... trust, but verify people!

• I work near a base and have close contact with many Military service personnel... It's amazing how many are on their 2nd or 3rd marriage and they keep marrying the same type of spouse. I'd say 95% of their divorces are because of whores (either side cheating) but this scam is news to me- still stupid to marry a whore (money whore or sex whore--still a whore) No pity for these men

• my brother is a marine. he didn't get paid much, but he used much of what he did get paid to put her through college. when he found out he was going to be deployed to Iraq, he and his girlfriend of more than a decade got married. while he was in Iraq, he received combat pay on top of his regular salary. Also while he was in Iraq, his wife cleaned out eight months of that pay and filed for divorce. She got a great job with her fancy degree, moved into an expensive apt. in D.C., bought about 10k worth of fantastic furniture, and just thoroughly enjoyed herself (I know this because my wife and I visited her once at that time). did she commit a crime? nope.
