Christopher Wilczek, (Heartless) Moron of the Day: Refused to Take Girl to Hospital After Drunk Accident

• I have it on good authority that the father never took her to his house to "clean her up" and if the news tribune was responsible in their journalism they wouldn't qoute a irate father hours after a tragedy and expect to get an unbiased ,inaccurate hateful statement from him. My point being you can't beleive everything you read.

• While this event is extemely unfortunate, I have to ask, where are BOTH sets of parents. I, without a doubt, completely agree that the boy should have called 911 first thing, and if not, then his father should have known to call 911 right away. HOWEVER - if you look up Zadie Morgan on facebook and check her status updates - you can clearly see that she has continued to drink underage. Obviously this event didn't scare her enough to give up underage consumption. BOTH teens should have known not to drive - she should not have gotten in the car with a drunk person. I sure hope she learned her lesson, (though she continues to drink underage), to at least not drive while intoxicated.

• now it is kind of makeing sense y we have the type of people we do in our world the kid killing his mom with a pan and other ungodly crimes agenst humanity when people lik this dad think they r protecting there son by not calling the police we are living in a world of dont talk and dont tell and it is damaging not only r children but our world we r our brothers keeper and it does take a villige to raise a child it is not in the best intrest of our children or socity to hide a crime or criminal they must learn responsabilty and remorse for what they have done

• Wow heck a great family! If my kid did something like that and called me, I would help him, but it would be to get both of them to the hospital! Not try to clean her up. He would have to face the outcome of the situation.

• Crazy glue is good stuff. It is good for cuts. I heard mountaineers used it. I just wouldn't want to use that much to repair a sensitive place like the nose.

• The story doesn't say one way or the other but I figure that our dear sweet Daddy was sitting home drunk as Cooter Brown when the call came in. No way an adult with an unimpaired thought process could have done this.

• Well, this is a clear example of the old saying..."The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!" No pun intended, BTW.

• Ill have to agree with Belinda. Dont you know not to drink and drive? I would never wish harm upon someone, and I truly hope everything turns out fine for her, but what the hell was she thinking.... She wasnt, and neither was the idiot and his dad.

• Even if the stupid father was afraid his kid was going to get pinched for DWI the father could have atleast taken her to the hospital and dropped her off for goodness sake. Pull in the main entrance and drop her off, tell her you are parking the car and take off. What a dummy. I can't imagine how much shock she was in through all this. I hope they get a bunch of jail time.

• Sadly, I witnessed an accident outside a convenience store in NJ. Firstly, no one wanted to get involved. Secondly, the driver, a male high school teenager, called his Mom on his cell phone while a girl that was a passenger dripped blood down the front of her shirt. I told the kid to hang up and call 911 or I would hide the phone in his "special place". We got the blood stanched and the ambulance arrived quickly. One of the kids' high school teachers was on the scene (she called 911).

• As I said he was to worried about his son who was apparently fine enouph to be running around trying to clean up his mistake. Suppose she had died in there further neglegence. Or maybe thats what they hoped happened so they could try to pin her as the driver.

• I wonder how "father" planned on "cleaning up" a nose hanging by a small piece of skin and several facial fractures? Band-aids?

• I would think re-attaching a nose is time dependent. Disfiguring is on the same order as maiming. Hang them too

• How disgusting. Like Sayin said, I can understand wanting to protect your child from getting into trouble, but NOT at the expense of another child who is badly injured and in agony! Hope daddy and son have fun explaining THAT to a judge!

• You drink, you drive, you lose - just like the road sign in my hometown says. That also goes for people who ride with people that are drunk. A simple lack of common sense.

• That poor girl. She and her father should definately file a civil suit to at least get reimbursed for the, I'm assuming, costly surgeries to fix her face. I guess the douche doesn't fall far from the tree!

• Illusions I agree, I have a daughter and Id be absolutely livid if someone had such disregard for her safety and well being treating this poor girl in this manner. He and his dad should be ashamed of themselves because even if this teenage boy wasnt thinking clearly as a full grown adult dad knew exactly what needed to take place.

• Look I can understand loving and wanting to protect your child. But parents like this boys make me sick. She was someones child as well and deserved better than she got.There should be a civil suit no doubt for medical damages if nothing else.
