• Anyone ever been to Jersey City? I got out of the area in late 70's and it was bad then. Nothing by highrise apts, gangs, drugs and such. What is called parks is a tiny piece of grass with a bench in it. (Now wait, i know there are some pretty nice parks in the area, just not IN jersey City)which the drug lords are using to sit down on during drug deals. I have always thought JC was trying to compete with Newark for filth and trash. Human and otherwise. This just goes to show, nothing changes like we hoped it would. Wow. Mom needs a swift kick in the A**! How dare she choose to have the babies then treat them worst then a dog? Sad, very sad. Stupid of school also. If kids are out after 7 days, you get call and visit immediately. But 50 days? Wow. they need to reavalidate their rules. Wow.

• Okay, I can understand the Refrigerator being non-functional since January if she is renting. That's not her fault, but her slum-lord's fault. Nothing to eat or drink, well maybe the Foodstamps haven't been delivered yet this month, and unless the faucets were non-functional, there's always water to drink. Being short on diapers, well, we've all been there and done that. There's even a Best Selling book called "The Diaper-Free Baby: The Natural Toilet Training Alternative" that advocates letting your infants run naked until they've been house-broken. Okay, all of those things could be explained away by harmless and innocent circumstance. However, two infants left in the care of a 6 year old with the front-door UNLOCKED? This woman is lucky that a Social Worker and Police were the ones to have walked in on this scene instead of the Registered Sex Offender in Apartment B! And I'm not going to judge a person if they use their balcony to hang their laundry, but a balcony does NOT constitute a bedroom, no matter how small your apartment is! If you have a couch in your living space, then by all means use that for a crib! Evading the police to avoid arrest isn't going to score any points with a Judge either. Nothing screams "Guilty" more than going on the lam. Bad mother! No biscuit (and no more custody)!

• Bransmon I would guess that there is no competent family at hand for the situation to have gotten so bad in the first place and probably no childrens Father either. Hope she gets the book thrown at her and those kids the help they will so need in the future.
