In February, we brought you the tale of Marine Jebidiah James Stipe, who was doing his best to bring disgrace to the uniform. He had a problem with women. So he posted Craigslist ads pretending to be them, asking respondents to carry out their rape fantasies...

Jebidiah Stipe placed fake rape fantasy ads around the country. It wasn't until the fifth that he found someone willing to go through with it.

The ads requested "a real aggressive man with no concern for women" to humiliate, physically and sexually abuse them, and pimp them out to their friends.

The first four he placed around the country seemed to find no response. But he finally found a taker in Casper, Wyoming.

His former girlfriend saw the Craigslist post -- it included her photo -- and asked the website to take it down. But that was after Ty Oliver McDowell had already responded. He began trading email with Stipe, assuming he was talking to the woman. Stipe encouraged McDowell to go to her house and rape the woman.

A few days later, McDowell attacked the woman from behind as she was entering her home. He wrestled her to the floor and punched her in the face, tied her up and blindfolded her, then raped her with both his penis and a knife sharpener.

The woman later went to the hospital, where she was treated for injuries from head to foot.

After the assault, McDowell again traded email with Stipe, assuming he was talking to the woman. Stipe urged him to provide a full play-by-play account of the ordeal.

But the investigative trail quickly led to Stipe, and both he and McDowell were arrested. McDowell pleaded guilty and is scheduled to be sentenced today.

Last month, Stipe pleaded guilty to sexual assault, kidnapping and burglary. He was sentenced yesterday to 60 years in prison. During the hearing, his lawyer tried to claim that Stipe never believed McDowell would go through with it, and that he merely got excited about trading rape fantasy talk over email. He also claimed that Stipe was traumatized by multiple tours in Iraq.

But with a 60-year sentence, the judge obviously called bullshit.
