It's not just the fact that Scott Eby raped and murdered a 3-year-old that has earned him the top spot on Douchebags of the Week. It's also the fact that Eby quietly let the girl's father take the fall for his heinous crime...

5. Charles Dennison
We've shared a lot of horrific tales with you on Douchebags of the Week. We've also offered up a decent helping of insanely stupid criminals as well. Folks just like Charles Dennison.

Last week, Dennison decided to call 911. And call. And call. And call.

Each time the 32-year-old rang police, he had the same demand: He wanted them to come arrest his mother for taking away his beer.

Of course, police refused to honor Dennison's very intoxicated wishes. Still, Dennison threatened to keep calling until they met his demands.

That's when the cops showed up at Dennison's St. Petersburg, Florida home and arrested him for making false 911 calls.

4. "Beat The Jew"
This next item had us a bit perplexed when we first stumbled upon it. Even after we finally were able to decipher how, exactly, the game "Beat The Jew" worked, we weren't any less confused.

Apparently, "Beat The Jew" has become all the rage amongst teenagers in La Quinta, California -- or at least 40 of them, as far as school officials could surmise, thanks to a Facebook fan page created in the game's honor.

This is how it works: while one person runs blindfolded down the road ("The Jew"), the other players ("Nazis") race alongside them in a car. Hence, "beat the Jew."

Jewish activists, including the Anti-Defamation League and a local rabbi, weren't so happy to hear about this little club. They demanded that the students involved all be punished.

But school officials say they can't punish the 40 or so students involved because they didn't play the game on school property or while school was in session. La Quinta High School's Principal even said that she'd expel the students if she could, but she can't, because there is no actual crime.

Police agreed and said that while there are issues of religious insensitivity involved, if all players are playing obliging, then the game has no real criminal implications.

3. Alex Da Silva
You may have heard of Alex Da Silva before. The 42-year-old World Champion salsa dancer from Brazil is a former choreographer for the TV show "So You Think You Can Dance."

He's also an alleged rapist.

The Los Angeles Police Department is saying that over the past six or seven years, Da Silva lured his victims -- all teenage dance students -- to his homes in North Hollywood and Van Nuys and forcibly raped them. At least four women have accused him of rape.

In August 2009, Da Silva was first arrested on four counts of forcible rape, two counts of assault with intent to commit rape and two counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object.

This week, Da Silva plead not guilty to all the charges. He's currently being held on $6.2 million bail.

2. Christine Renee Devaux
Police aren't saying why Christine Renee Devaux did what she did -- all they're saying was that she DIDN'T do it "over a man."

Which doesn't make her attempted murder of a 9-months-pregnant woman any clearer.

First, the 38-year-old doesn't quite fit the profile of a killer. After all, she's an author and a scientist working at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Police also won't say how Devaux knows her victim.

All they will say is that at around 4:20 p.m. on Friday, Devaux showed up at the home of the pregnant woman shortly after she'd just arrived home.

That's when Devaux attacked her, leaving her with serious injuries just before she was able to escape to a neighbors and call 911.

The pregnant woman was immediately taken to the hospital, where she and her fetus were treated. Both are OK and have since been released.

That night, police finally caught up with Devaux at around 11:30 and took her into custody, charging her with attempted murder.

Because the victim is pregnant, police are currently being tightlipped with the hows and whys of what Devaux did. But we'll be to sure to keep you up-to-date as information comes about her case -- for which she has a preliminary hearing set for July 2.

1. Scott Eby
Finally, we come to the sad case of Riley Fox -- the little 3-year-old girl who first made headlines when her body was discovered floating in a creek four miles away from her Wilmington, Illinois home in 2004.

Riley's case gained widespread media attention, particularly after her father, Kevin Fox, was first charged with her murder.

Kevin was charged after he implicated himself during a grueling overnight interrogation conducted by police which lasted for more than 14 hours.

Kevin sat in jail for eight months until DNA evidence taken from the duct tape over the girl's mouth proved he was not her killer and he was released. Kevin later said that he'd pleaded guilty to the charges because he felt there was no hope and that, by cooperating with his interrogators, he could at least receive some leniency.

Fox and his wife later sued authorities and won $8.6 million after a jury agreed that he'd been wrongfully detained and interrogated.

Still, that meant that Riley's murderer was out there somewhere. And it wasn't until last month that police knew where he was.

In 2005, Scott Eby was convicted of raping his sister and sentenced to prison.

Still, it wasn't until very recently that FBI agents were able to find a link between Eby's DNA and Riley's case.

Police now say it was Eby who brutally-raped 3-year-old Riley before he used his 6'2", 230 pound frame to hold her down and drowned her in the creek.

The forensic pathologist who examined Riley's body claims that on a severity scale of 1 to 10, Riley's rape and murder were "a 10."

Prosecutors are now hoping to seek the death penalty against Eby, who is already sitting in medium-security prison with the chance for parole in 2017.
