Wayne Brackett Charged With Mutilating Rabbits in Failed Construction Company Burglary

• Also, I've seen the video more than once. Brackett is saying that he "doesn't remember any of it" and that he was "blackout drunk". Now, I've also blacked out from too much tequila, and I'm pretty sure I wasn't in any state of mind to make any decision, good or bad. In fact, every time it happens, I'm usually crawling on the floor and stumbling around making incoherent slurs to everyone around. In this video, Brackett is walking around perfectly somber. No stumbling over his own two feet, or throwing up due to the whole "too much alcohol" thing. He knew what he was doing, and he let his rage get the best of him. Friggen logic, Wayne. C'mon.

• I live about 20 minutes away from North Adams and the second I saw the breaking news on WWLP.com, I was simply in schock. I have two rabbits of my own who live freely in my household and are more like children to me than pets. The thought of someone having the ability to mutilate a defenseless animal with absolutely no remorse brings tears to my eyes. He had an araignment on Monday and is now being held in county jail with $25,000 cash or $250,000 bond. Like "Angry Grandma" said, Massachusetts has VERY strict laws as far as Animal Cruelty go. By my calculations, this psychopath is looking at 20 years in prison (5 counts of animal cruelty, 5 more counts of maliciously killing a domesticated animal). Regardless of how much time he has spent in prison, Western Massachusetts will certainly be waiting for him with torches and pitchforks once he's out.

• Wayne can go to hell. Using the death of his siter from cancer is terrible it IS a deadly disease. DELILAH I'LL WATCH U SAY THAT IGNORANT PHRASE WHILE YOUR BODY IS RAVAGED WITH THIS DEADLY DISEASE YOU DUMB BITCH. Back to Wayne he is a lowlife who cannot deal with anger. Put him away and throw away the key...he is dangerous and sick. Don't disrespect the dead your just as lowlife as he.

• I know people who survived Auschwitz & lost every family member in WW2, and I'm always amazed at their kindness in spite of their Hell on earth. Therefore, I have no sympathy for Mr. Brackett. Regrettable that his sis' died young, it's hard to cope with that. But it's not an excuse for being cruel. If anything I'd expect that he'd try to live honorably, as a tribute to her memory. He's just evil & has brought great shame to his family. Perhaps he can be fitted for a lovely pair of cement shoes prior to his trial ... (ooops, bad karma for me!)

• I am personally astounded that someone would do this! how could someone take the lives of harmless animals. and to the little girl who lost her rabbits i am truly sorry that you had go through this..

• Remember his name.......if they don't help him, there will be a child in his way someday and we all know the rest of the story. I hope the construction company he broke into knows some really good "cement" contractors.........one less killer on this earth.

• thats a lame excuse ( his sister died of cancer) the reason why he murdered those rabbits.? That freak does not care about human life, so he didn't care about those innocent rabbits either,. the hurting and killing of them. Think of what he caused that little girl to suffer mentality. a few days in jail? that psycho needs to be put a way somewhere for along time.

• Well, seeing as this comes from near where i live (about an hour away) and seeing what was written, thought i would comment. Just so all are aware. MA has a strick laws regarding animal cruelty. And they DO enforce those laws to the letter. In this case, the POS is a poor excuse for a human being. they said on the news that he had a problem with animal killing before. But didn't have any proof (like this) to arrest him. I guess pets in the area have come up missing and some have been murdered on the owners property and left in plain view of the family members. North Adams is a very small town deep in the bershires. Like 5 miles from the VT line. And maybe 15-20 miles from NY line. There is some business there, but otherwise there are no jobs. It has alot of farm area. and the biggest CITY is about 20 minutes south of it. Our (MA) ex-governor-in-training (Swift) is from there. But that's another story!!! Hope this time they make the charges stick. He is a sick puppy. Oh BTW, the little girl was only 6 yrs old! Can you believe this? Sick POS

• Just more proof that monsters don't look like Quasimotos. If only they did. When more people like him are in fact sent to prison for no less than a solid year, made to pay a truly steep fine, and made to recompense their victims for all they've gone through, then and only then will this kind of crime decline. It would be faster and far more effective to change the laws that call animals "property" so they are instead considered adopted charges in the care of guardians.
