Breakfast Reading from the Village Voice Empire: In July 2003, the man who played Principal Edward Rooney pleaded to hiring a kid so he could take pervert photos. He's now charged with failing to update his status within five days of his birthday. LA Weekly has the story.

All these comments appear to be directed as if this was about the actual crime that earned him the offender title. It is about a re-registration violation. I know a Sheriff that is in charge of monitoring and registering offenders and he would be the first to tell you that the system is designed to make it difficult for an offender to be able to comply. Predators and offenders are two different categories, stop treating them as the same thing.

I'd hardly call him too famous baffled, he is kind of more along the lines of a has been. But, I bet he never thought he would be reaquainted with this fame, only this time he's famous for being a pervert and not Mr. Rooney. Well, I can honestly say, I never quite trusted him as a principal at a high school. Lol. I think this is another case of, "Do you know who I am?! I can get away with anything."

Wow, and i liked this guy as an actor. Even in the couple of horror movies he was in. Can't understand this. he placed in a quite a few movies with kids in it. Not sure if he should have been in any with kids in them. That's like tempting a horse with a carrot! Unreal. See even pervs are famous actors now! Wow again.

@river, no kidding. I was watching some of the Predator: Raw episodes last night. Over and over, like a broken record, "I never done this before, it's the first time, I was just here to teach her not to trust people like me, I wasn't going to use the chocolate flavored condoms," etc., etc., et frikkin' cetera.
I could be wrong about on of these BUT I think this guy was also in Howard The Duck lol, and a kids show where he played a Fox.

"I'm sorry that this incident was allowed to occur. Such an event has never happened before and it will never happen again," How often have we seen To Catch A Predator and they all say "This is my first time, and I swear I'll never do it again!"? It's like they all read from the same 'Attempting to get away with it 101' manual. They should ask for their money back, because that excuse isn't working out so well.
