Michael Richardson, Accused of Sex with Teen, Linked to Staged Deaths of Wife, Mother-in-Law

About the time he emerged from prison in 2004, he and his wife Thao Richardson had a daughter. It would take just another six years before he found trouble again.
The Richardsons were living in Eastlake, California along with Thao's mother and another relative and her 17-year-old daughter. It seems, however, that 57-year-old Michael took a fancy to the underaged girl. Thao, according to the relative, caught Richardson and the girl trying to run away together.
But Thao refused to file a complaint against her husband, saying she didn't want her own daughter to grow up fatherless. The 17-year-old's mother filed a retraining order against Michael, claiming unlawful intercourse, but Thao's refusal to cooperate with police sabotaged the request.
When you're caught cheating on your wife with a 17-year-old relative, that can't be good for a marriage. So it looks just a little bit suspicious when your wife turns up dead.
This week, Thao and her 72-year-old mother were found dead when their Honda was discovered upside down in a ravine outside San Diego. (See footage of the crash site at NBC San Diego.)
It initially looked like an accident -- until detectives discovered that one of the women had been shot.
So far, that case is unsolved. But yesterday Richardson was finally arrested for molesting his 17-year-old relative. (Special thanks to Lauren Bertolini for the tip.)
