Orlinda Plummer Tells Police that 6-Year-Old Lost Autistic Boy Isn't Hers

• wow.I know its hard to raise an autistic child but there is simply no reason what so ever to do what she did!!!!! Hell the way she actedshe couldnt handle any child with or without disabilites. (and yes I know I can't spell lol)

• Sad,sad,sad.I'm 21 and although I'm in no hurry for my own kids,every time I read these stories,all I can think is that if you're going to be such a complete shit-head of a person,drop them at my doorstep.I know for a fact I could be a much better parent than you.

• People should be required to take a test before being allowed to breed. And it's so ridiculous that people like this woman are blessed with children(and take it for granted) when there are so many people that are unable to conceive.

• I disagree on the fact that she should keep the boy, yes it would be an easy way out for Family Services to take the kid. But, maybe we wont read another story about a woman dong something horrific to her own flesh and blood.. Because when that happens people always say "why didnt someone step in"? Obviously she is not interested in raising him..I hope there is 1 person in that family that cares, I hope!

• By making the mother of that 6 year old boy take care of him would teach her a lesson? If they take him from her and place him in a home some where she is getting what she herself wants? Don't thing so. That little boy needs love, care and protection from garbage like that not put back in the same situation.

• Wouldn't the ultimate punishment be making her take care of the boy? By removing him, you are just doing the work for her. Also, that grandfather is a class act!

• I don't know what she hoped to gain by lying, like they would just take the kid and all her worries were gone. This is so sad I am back to the idea another poster had you should have to take a pill to be able to have kids instead of the other way around.

• What a dumbass. Everyone knows if you want to get rid of a kid, Mexico is the way to go. You just tell the kid to wait for you on a busy street corner and then you run like your ass was on fire. Then you go back to America and file a missing person's report. Easy!

• @ Jim, I dont think that letting her keep the boy would be a very good idea.. This was just a beginners course in what this worthless B***H is most likely capable of.. @ John youre right! at least she didnt strangle him..!! • Here's hoping the boy gets placed with someone who wants him. Chances are he'll be shuffled thru the system and end up in another bad situation.

• I have a 42 yr old cousin who has a 25 yr old son who has CP, retardation and a host of other health problems and is about a few months away from being in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. They were told (doctors)he wouldn't live to see his 10th birthday. Well he beat that. Doctors told her if wouldn't be able to communicate, he can speak a little but hard to understand (by me), Doctors said he would never be potty trained ect. he is. They wre told he has 2 yr old mentality. This kid can run circles around me on the video games!!! And my son in law as well! he a great person. HAs a heart of gold. Loves animals loves life. My cousin has recently became very depressed (over last 8 months) worst as the days get longer. Freddy has been in and out of the hospital 16 times since they moved back from GA. Which they had to do because of SS. She gets a partial check while she lived in GA. But now that she is unable to work and must care for him 100%, they wouldn't give her more. By moving back North, she is able to live with her mom and recieve his full benefits and full medical, which he got partial as well in GA. Plus, he is close to a really good hospital that has a specialized area for CP patients in Rhode Island. Anyway, her depression has been bad. And sometimes she wishes to place him in a home where he can get "proper" care. the family is behind her 100% to keep him home and we help her as much as possible. it's a huge task. he is mobile right now, but soon that will be gone and he is a good 180 lbs. She doesn't know if she will be able to care for him once he becomes wheelchair bound. She small in size. She is saying that he is better off with a home that can give him all he needs. And says that she is being selfish by keeping him with her. She has devoted her entire life to Freddy. She goes no where without him at anytime. To me, this is a true mom. I honestly don't think i could have handled this as she has. We all tell her that God only gives you what you can handle. But she doesn't know anymore. her depression is very bad. She cries alot. But she never once thinks of herself. it's always about what is good for Freddy. I can see depression causing multiple problems, but with a strong family support, she will handle her son as she always has, not complaints.

• How can you deny your child? .. What's wrong with people these days. Isn't your child suppost to be your everything? I hope I'm not the only one who treats my child the way their suppost to be treated because no child deserves what this lady did. I really hope she never gets him back, she doesn't deserve to have that little boy in her life.

• Seems like noone wants an autistic kid these days. At least she didn't strangle him.

• The only real way to punish her is by making her care for the boy. By sending him to foster care, she essentially wins. She looks like she can do a few months in the pen standing on one leg.
