After three weeks for frantic searches, police would eventually find her hiding in the attic of an apartment Young rented. Their plan was to hide her until the 17-year-old Abbi turned 18 in November, then marry and live happily ever after.
But Abbi's parents weren't particularly hip to the plan, viewing Young as a controlling creep who was hindering her prosperous high school years. Police weren't happy either, since Young stonewalled them for three weeks while they searched for the girl.
Yesterday, a judge also proved his displeasure. Young pleaded no contest to interference with custody charges. He only got 90 days in the slam, but the judge also ordered him to stay away from Abbi for two years. For young lovers who couldn't even wait until November to get married, it seems it will only be a matter of time before Young violates the order.
