Like most parents, Frank Tafoya taught his daughter about safety, including where to go when she needed help, like the fire station down the street from their Manteca, California home. But unlike most 3-year-olds, Alesaundra Tafoya actually listened...

And that would end up saving Frank's life. It seems he took an accidental overdose of prescription medicines at their home Friday. Frank collapsed and fell into a stupor.

So Alesaundra walked to Fire House 243 two blocks from her home to report that her daddy was "frozen" and wouldn't wake up. Then she brought the firemen back to her home.

Lucky she did. Paramedics say Frank was unconscious and would have died without immediate help.

It has been said, so it is written: Alesaundra Tafoya, Occupation: Smart Little Girl. (Special thanks to Call Me Mister for the tip.)
