Chester Mast, Amish Perv, Charged with Raping Young Girl

Breakfast Reading from the Village Voice Empire: Yes, there really is a molester named Chester. He's charged with raping one girl and masturbating in front of another in Missouri. He also has sex crimes charges awaiting him in Wisconsin. The Riverfront Times has the story.

I have to agree. We tend to romanticize the Amish and 'their way of life.' Anyway, lock him up and throw away the key. He's going to be an interesting piece of meat for some inmates - enjoy boys!

DIAMONDGIRL, I think it would interest you that the man in the case you referenced was released after a five year sentence. (march 19, 1998 aged 34) He was convicted of involuntary manslaughter (3rd degree), but was not deemed mentally ill for some odd reason.
Edward D Gingerich, crawford county Pennsylvania Grandma...and I think he had three kids, one of them went to get the uncle to help, and then the uncle ran and called the police. Very sick man, I think he pled insanity. I'll look the case up later on, David Lohr wrote on it for tru-tv back when it was crimelibrary. I have to go to work for a while, take care fellow posters.
yeah i remember that story as well. Even the update where he escaped and went to home of family and kidnapped his daughter (or was it both kids)? he was a really sick POS. I think the way they live makes them crazy or something. Nah, i don't know what would cause a person to do half what they do. This is just sick. Seeing as they marry at 16 (i think) you would think that he could have gotten a real girl to have a relationship with.
The worse murder I every read about-prior to the TCR experience was commited by an Amish man. He bashed his wife's head in,then eviserated her,then pulled her intestines out in front of their children.
I think a story like this, and similar ones, are intended to highlight the fact that there is corruption in all walks, and cultures, regardless of the morally upright image that is generally assumed to exist universally when one considers the pious lifestyles known amongst the Amish and other supposedly Upright cultures. That his name is Chester just Really makes the Irony so thick you could'nt cut it with an Amish wheat-sickle. (pun intended but also unecessary.)
Thought the Amish liked their goats, cows and pigs for this kind of crap? Oh, i get that wrong? This POS will attempt to use his Amish background as an excuse. Fricking prev!
