Harvey Gales Jr., 3 Kids, Set Fire to Puppy for the Fun of It

• See!?  They do NOT think like normal human beings. Their simians brains don't feel love, remorse, normal emotions...All they know is cruetly--which is amusement for them--and violence.   Teen meaness my ass, this is just the way they're wired...My car squawked the tires at a stoplight today, was it because I'm a wreckless young man? No.  My car just has that much torque.  Did these BOY's do this because they are savage teens? No. They did it because their primitive brains are wired that way.

• I don't even like dogs but setting them on fire is just over the top. (Of course, I imagine most of the people posting have no problems with the animal cruelty that goes with their tacit consent.)

• What a shame. Certainly all of you care about the dog, who is blameless. I hope is doing well, if at all possible. Too bad you are all so quick to react with revenge tactics you would like to see. It doesnt make anything better, its only fireworks. Did anyone ask who these kids were? Is this ordinary behavior for them? Whats normal for their environment. Hard truth is, in a VERY large portion of our country, dogs (and cats) are not a very valuable member of society. In fact unless they have a job to do they are non-essential. Kindness has no place in an ordinary farming family for instance. Care Yes, Kindness no. In a generational dilemma, traditional farming has no room for extras. If parents dont teach care, and then respect for life, then kindness will never be an option. Cruelty may be the natural progression if one of these links is missing. There is also the group mentality, but I wouldnt damn the offenders to a lifetime of being labeled "future serial killer" My own children would have been been labeled "future school shooter" after being found at school with their buckknives in their pockets and angry with a teacher, right after the Dylan Kliebold incident. So really folks. Instead of mouthing off here in the wide open internet where nobody cares, spend some time with your kids and teach them better instead of honing your ability to get a reaction of others! We can all do better!

• Serial killers in the making

• We just had a sitution that happened this past sunday here. 2 dumb adults, left their golden retriever and a smaller dog in the back of their cabbed pick up truck while they were shopping in the mall for about 2 hours. This past sunday, the temps were in the high 90's. A passerby, noticed the dogs were looking in real bad shape. They called the police who called the Animal control. Well, the Golden died yesterday. And the little guy, is still in bad shape, but will make it. The owners have been arrested and released. they face animal cruelty charges which could get them both 5 yrs in jail. Just thought i would pass this on.

• Thank you for posting this. Unfortunately this is not the first time a puppy has been burned in Greensboro, my hometown. About a year ago another pitbull puppy was burned. Thankfully she survived, and in December a law in her name will allow judges to give jail time to animal abusers. The problem is epidemic here, and these are juveniles which basically makes them untouchable. Little f*ckers! Makes me hate living her.

• I recently moved from Greensboro and was there for this incident. A previous case almost exactly like it did bring about a change though. Governor Purdue signed a bill into law that will come into effect in December to increase the penalty for animal cruelty. A lot of hard work went into getting this law passed- google Susie's Law for more on the topic.

• These crimes make me flip my shit faster than anything because they involve harming an utterly helpless creature. A fellow living being who is one of the greatest gifts to human kind, ever. Come on! Dogs are such fabulous loving companions, so much better than a heckuva lot of humans I dare say, and pretty frikkin' cute on top of that! Future serial killers is right. The father needs to be sterilized immediately, forced to clean up dog kennels, without any access to the dogs themselves, for a minimum of a solid year, with probation thereafter of not less than 10 years, enforceable in all 50 states, which terms include a prohibition of owning, caretaking or being near any animals. The 10 year old might be salvageable if he is put in animal compassion and care training immediately and for no less than one solid year, every week for three hours, with counseling. The teenagers... oh boy, them, I dunno'... they might respond to a more intense training program, perhaps similar to what some prisons do with lifers, having them train service dogs. But if they don't get intervention immediately, intense and unremitting training, with careful observation and counseling, I'm very skeptical that they are not already just career criminals in training, already on the road to damnation. But, it is always much more expensive and much more difficult to do from the outside-in, so to speak. They drew the short straw in the parent pool.

• So the "owners" left a 4 month old puppy tied up outside while they were out of town for a few days? Classy!

Not because they were away, but because they choose a worthless person to care for it. it's says it was a couple of days before it was checked on. WTF!? So i guess i'm to assume that it had a swimming pool filled with water, major shade to protect it from the sun, someplace to go inside to stay cool? Maybe a huge bowl that would refill itself of food? Cripes, i go everyday to check on my sons dogs when they go out of town or something. And they are INSIDE the house. I make sure they have clean cold water, plenty of food. Able to go outside for bathroom. Not over heated by leaving a fan in the window on. this creep should be charged with cruelity as well. Poor thing tried to chew through collar and still it suffered further. AWWWWWWWWW I'm getting more pissed everytime i think about the damage done to this puppy. I can't see no good coming to these brats. They are evil. they are murderers in the making. Atleast the older ones. There MAY be hope for the 10yr old, but i doubt it.
