@saint-dismas I agree with your assessment of this story. The proof is definitely in the pudding.
Well Alexa...rest assured in knowing that the same people standing out on street corners protesting with signs that say "F?ck the Police!"....are usually the same ones who scream "hey!...where the f?ck are the Police??!!"....whenever rioting and violence breaks out at the anti-police rallies, or when someone assaults them, breaks into their home etc etc. There are good, bad, and then morally ambiguous types amongst them, and the better of the Lot are necessary to maintain at least a slight semblance of social order. I am guilty of finding certain parts of his article laughable, but in the same humorous light you would expect when laughing at the class clown, who acts more out of an impulsive desire to please, than genuine sincerity of conviction. The writer of that article is just a guy throwing a gimmick out there, and getting paid for it. (and if you notice the amount of comments on HIS articles pale in comparison to the thousands Pete gets one a monthly basis....the proofs in the pudding mei bellus.)
Gus Garcia-Roberts, "author" of the Miami News Times "story" is a cop hating bitter hippie's crotch crab. Oh please, all he does is spew contempt and ridicule. Oh I'm sorry, was it supposed to be funny? "Here's our unofficial compendium of creatures that have encountered the wrath of doughnut-eaters armed with 50,000 volts. Pigs: Kind of ironic when you think about who's usually pulling the trigger." Uh-huh. Just when some Agent Orange would be oh so beneficial, dang it, it's banned. A colossal waste of bandwidth and my time.
A Taser is an effective non-lethal law enforcement tool to control an out of control suspect. The Taser C2 is a civillian version which is more sleek and compact but equally as effective.
I am against excessive force by cops but what were they supposed to do when confronted by a man with a sword? It seems like over scrutinizing the Police after they make a split second decision is the "Hip" thing to do. Cops are humans and are capable of making bad decisions but they also have to make quick decisions in the heat of the moment. I'm sure my point of view is not popular and I'm not a cop but that is a job I wouldn't want to do. I'm glad there are people that will though.
