• i have known this man since i was a little kid, i have known his whole family and believe me his suicide attempts were long before mom and the family knew him. like my sisters have both said, get the facts straight and im sorry if you feel that these bull shit ass news articles are the real story, the 'victim' has had mental problems since i have known the family but its just goes to show how quick people are to judge. to my family keep ya'll heads up, james wouldnt want us degrading ourselves to these scumbags levels. let them believe what the hell they want, we know the truth and the facts. save the rest for the birds. RIP james, your memory lives on through all of us

• remember this, my exhusband claimed it was depression that drove him to collect over 300 pics of child porn. he had been doing it most likely as long as he and I had that computer we had at the time. . I am the one who found him out. I also kicked his rump out(family and a friend drove him to his mommy's house), turned him into the Feds, then divorced him. . he got arrested right at the door to his job. he at the time worked for one of the local Burger Kings as a cashier. . most folks when they heard why I got rid of him, were surprised. my mom wanted me to stay married to him. her impression of pedos were due to a cousin by marriage. thing is, as far as we knew it, he never preyed on family.

• the doctor said that she was too young for medications but i dont know he was the professional thats why she got the help that she got she had been seeing the psychiatrist for  at least a year and yes we do know for a fact that it was her biological father that did it no he  is not my father my mother did leave james for a short while until the "victim" came out and told the truth about everything my mother had never had any mental health issues until after her aneurysm and her father was out of the picture when she was younger now that my sister is getting proper care she is alot better and has still said that it was not james but her biological father that did it she has said that she just said it was james because she was lashing out on him she has a very angry child at the time but thank goodness she is doing sooo much better

•  i certainly will keep everyone posted but as far as the police and can give you this one last fact about how corrupt they are here when my stepfather went missing my mother reported him  missing along with her car  when her car was found there was no report found when they ran the plates they thought that the car was just abandoned and found my mom to tell her she needed to get her car and she shouldnt have just left it there (the state patrol are the ones that found the car) she then told them that she reported her husband and car missing and they informed her that there was nothing of the sort she then explained to them that her husband was suicidal and that he might be near the car and sure enough he was the car was in plain sight and if the austin police would have did what they were suppose to do james would have been found before he died yes he fell out of the tree tryin to hang his self he hit his head on a branch and went into a coma he also broke his leg the coroner said that james had laid there at least 2 days before he passed away if he was sooooo guilty then why wasnt the law at a scramble to find him and charge him with such thing but instead let him just disappear to me they seen this as an opportunity to look like the good guys and they bad guy got what he deserved but even the worst person doesnt deserve to die like that but especially not someone that was innocent

• Yes, wow, accompanied by the typical babyish name-calling.   Spade, If you could read, you would have noticed long ago that he was charged and not convicted.  So he is not responsible unless we're sure he did it.   I'm blaming his suicide on the meds, not the supposed molestation.  Step daughter, This does not look good to me.  She was showing signs of psychosis?  Usually that doesn't show up until young adult hood or at least 18.  The psychiatrist didn't want to medicate her?  Usually that's the first thing they do, just showing up at their office, no signs of anything needed except current insurance.    She was abused by her bio dad?  Is that your dad too?  Were James and your mother separated at the time he was accused/killed himself.   Was your mother on psych meds?  You say her bio dad molested her, do you have proof of this?  Do you think she will tell the truth, that he did not do it, since she has shown signs of psychosis at the time she accused him?  The reason I ask is that, my father and mother were given scads of psychiatric drugs when I was little.  My mother was given Mellarill, Lithium, and shock treatments.  My father was given over a dozen anit-depressants and anti-psychotics and went slowly down hill in response to the drug side effects to the point of full blown psychosis and paranioa and finally killed himself.  He thought people could hear him talking throught he houses.  Back then, these side effects were not known.  After all the ttreatments the doctor told my mother she did not have a mental illness.  She has never taken a medication or experienced a psychosis for the last 35 years.  So obviously, she is not psychotic.  Is it possible that your sister is experiencing some type of reaction to being raised by people on scads of psych meds?  Not psychosis?

Well, I'm a bit of a pessimist (realist?), and I tend to believe that the cops don't go around charging people as a general rule if they don't have at least some evidence.  I also don't readily believe that a newspaper would print that he was charged if he wasn't, and/or that his trial was about to start if it wasn't, and leave themselves open to at least one winnable lawsuit. But if in fact he was not charged, as you say, and therefore no trial was pending, and the paper printed otherwise, then I certainly hope when your mother is feeling better she does pursue a lawsuit against them.  Let us know how it turns out.

• You might be right.  But what I read said that he'd already been through that part of the process, called an arraignment.  That and a lot of other things happen before a trial.  Are you saying that there was no trial set to start a week after he died?  I read that in the Austin paper, and it would be easy enough to prove by reviewing the court records.

• I'm sorry that someone you cared about had so many problems.  But from what I've read in local, mainstream publications, he was in fact charged.  He plead not guilty, but he was scheduled to start his trial a week after he died.  Maybe the young lady in question has problems of her own, but the bottom line is, he's the adult and should know better, regardless of enticement, or his medications, etc.  Otherwise he's culpable.

•  my sister was not medicated at the time the psychiatrist that she was seeing said that he didnt want to put her on meds but she is now getting the proper treatment and is doing very well  but she was showing signs of psychosis with out being medicated  

• james had been suicidal since he was 11 years old it was something that he had been dealing with his whole life and he had been doing well but when the accusations came out he backslid and thought that everyone would be better without him in his mind (he was bipolar and manic depressant) our family would be better with out him here and my mom tried but a week after james was found my mother suffered from an aneurysm and was hospitalized till october she has recovered alot but not enough to persue a case and i dont know what i can do

• that is if the medical staff without knowing how it would affect that person for the meds . some meds like paxil, zoloft, etc...... might have such a effect as you discribe. but in others, there is no aggression and hostility in those folks towards others. . plus meds like that are only a helping hand. it is up to the person to also try and control their own moods as well. . as well as the family and friends making sure that the person is telling the truth about things. including how they feel at that point. and taking steps to make sure there is no melt downs by the one on them. or the one that needs them.

• step daughter of james, I would not get too worked up about the comments.  I have read this site for several years and the comments I saw that spew the most deranged & retarded crap are coming from many of those who have admitted to being in and out of the mental health system all their lives and currently or on and off being treated with psychotropic drugs.  So, at the time they made the comments, they were prob. under the influence of mind-altering substances.  Many of these have actually attacked other posters threatening to stalk and forcibly medicate them if they did not believe in medicated themselves or others into total insanity and actually believe that the medications have no side effects.  Some have had total melt downs on TCR and disapeared afterwards.  Prob. to a straight jacket.  A well -known side effect of psych meds is hostility and aggression. I would def. consult with an attorney.

• I read another story where James had beenn in Austin medical center for another suicide attempt.  So chances are that he was on anti-depressants?  Possibly if he really did molest your sister, these may be the cause.  Melissa Huckaby was on anti-depressants, ADHD med, anti-anxiety meds and Xanax.  All prescibed to her except the Xanax at the time she killed and raped Sandra Cantu. Levi Aron who dismembered a boy in NY had previously been diagnosed with a behavior disorder and the drugs that he gave the boy were prescribed to him. The entire Anthony family is on psych meds.  Casey is supposed to have abused Xanax. I would get an attorney right away, wrongful death cases usually have a statute of limitations  unlike the crimes your father was facing.  So unfair. Other resources you can use to find the truth about these drugs and how many families they have destroyed are Dr. Peter Breggin and And Blake Tracey. 

• Pysch meds can cause compulsive lying, even gambling and shopping as a side effect.  There are attorneys who specialize in drug and malpractice lawsuits.  I would find one right away.  More members of your family could be in danger from this psychiatrist or whomever the mental health professionals are that are currently treating your family members.  You might be entitled to hundreds of thousands of dollars for your sufferring and save other family's the same pain and loss.

• Was he on psyh meds?  I had a family member commit suicide while on psych meds.  You can sue for wrongful death.  Possibly the manufacturer as well, depending on the drug.  See my above post.

• If he was innocent, why did he kill himself? Was your sister mentally ill before being medicated by the metnal halth industry or did she only show signs of psychosis after drugging? I'm sorry for your loss and I would be extemely concerned about your sister's well-being and also other family member's at this point.  A very similar thing happened to my family, although the molestation was not there.  A family member committed suicide after being negligently treated with many psychiatric medications, the whole time getting worse.  My mother did not know enough to sue the dr. and the hospital at that time.   She should have.  The suicide prompted two other people in my family to need mental health help.  On was also treated with drugs negligently.  They were referred by a counselor to a general practitioner who diagnosed with depression and gave psych medications with horrible results.  If this person hadn't been very intelligent and much more conscientious and intelligent that the so - called professionals, they would be institutionalized or dead today.  If any protocol has not been followed to the letter in your sister's treatment, like regular counselors diagnosing or general practitioners diagnosing mental illness or prescribing psych meds, I would file as many complaints as it takes to achieve permanent license revocation.  Also, if the psychiatrist is prescibing drugs not approved for children, I would send him a letter threatening an investigation and attemps to have his/her license revoked unless they get your sister off drugs safely.  Many drugs have dangerous side effects when people withdraw from them. If your sister made up this story and your step-father did not do it, the doctors are at fault for a wrongful death suit.  I would pursue this to the enth degree until all people involved who have acted negligently receive permanent license revocation and hopefully bankruptcy.  They are a danger to society. See the case of Rebecca Riley, toddler who was diagnosed with bi-polar, depression, and ADHD by a child psychiatrist.  She is dead now and her parents are in jail.  Her estate is suing the doctor.

• lets say that you are telling the truth. . now try to remember we have had soooo many folks claiming to know the various families that the news are about. . if she did do any kind of a messages via phone. even if she erased them. the cops still can get records of them from the phone service provider. . not only talking about time, date. but also what was in any given messages. . and if she was, as you say, hearing voices in the head. that is one of the signs of schizophrenia. your family including you, had the responsibilty to make sure she got help. same goes for the banging of the head on the walls. . and if she refused. your family including you, had the responsibility to make sure that she was placed in a facility that dealt with the more severe cases. by not getting them to doing it. you, yourself failed your blood family.

• you know its amazing how the media can twist a story to be something that it wasnt my step dad was a wonderful person and he DID NOT do what the media says that he did my sister has mental issues that made her lash out on the innocent party her biological father was the one that molested her and out step dad unfortunately got the shitty end of the deal he was doing everything in his power to help her before she even lashed out on him let me give you some of the details you know how my sister was sick......she would hear voices in her head she would talk to walls she would get very angry if she thought that someone looked at her wrong she would bang her head on concrete walls.....she just wasnt well james did everything in his power to help her he would take her to the psychiatrist every appointment she ever had he was the one that seen some of the same things that he went thru as a child with mental illnesses so he stepped in so she could get the help that he couldnt. after she accused james of molesting her my mother did everything that she was suppose to do as a mother she called the police she had james removed from the home she was by my sisters side when the doctors told her that my sister was not recently touched.....the evidence proved the abuse happened before james was even in the picture the "victim" sent text messages to james stating that she was sorry for lying and that she didnt know that he would get in so much trouble she said that she was angry because she looked at james as not a father figure but as a boyfriend type the psychiatrist said that because of the abuse that she had went thru as a younger child confused her and she couldnt tell the difference between a father figure or a boyfriend james is innocent and the "victim" is not to blame either she is ill the media just sees what it wants and not the truth i hope this has opened your eyes to the truth in this particular matter

• not being a member of the police or the immediate family, who knows what the truth of the matter is? we only have media reports to go by, and the media presents select information and emphasizes and de-emphasizes parts of the truth to promote their own agenda, whatever that may be. many blog sites present stories in such a way as to promote and abundance of comments, for example. that being said, i'll play along...it sounds like she consented to and perhaps enjoyed much of their relationship. however, even if she was like the long island lolita, which was one of many, many cases of an underage girl aggressively pursuing an older man, that in no way exonerates him from the wrongness of his actions. i have a 4 year old girl, so perhaps you can surmise my feelings on the rightness or wrongness on the matter.

• I agree that someone could consent to sex at the age of 14, but I think it really depends on the person. Regardless of that though, this slime ball is an animal. I, like you, believe in psychological help above psychiatry, HOWEVER, I DO think certain individuals with certain disorders (manic depressive, schizophrenia) really benefit from the help of medications despite the side effects. Everything in the brain is chemical, and unfortunately there's no amount of talking that can regulate which chemicals are being produced and how much... Not all patients become walking zombies, they are able to be rehabilitated THANKS to the medication and end up being able to function with the rest of society. I am a 24 years old dental hygienist in the local psychiatric ward here, and I am able to see first hand the benefits of such medications in the behavior of many of my patients as I interact with them regularly throughout their treatment here.... well the ones that are docile enough to NOT be anesthetized anyway...

Psychiatry in general is little more than a joke, and most think overmedicating someone to the point that they become a mindless zombie is the best way to deal with ones mental problems. The problem with that is the chain reaction it causes. One pill often comes with a variety of side effects which In Turn call for another pill to counter the effects of the one prescribed and so on. Psychological evaluations are important, and sometimes for the right individual Psychoanalysis is beneficial, but for the types your (admirable) bleeding heart describes the only cure is a bullet, syringe, rope, blunt instrument, etc..it is certainly tragic that many of them are former victims who became the "human monsters" they now are, but that dosen't change the chaos their kind causes for society...and it dosent change the FACT that left to their own devices, or constantly pacified by a hand-holding psychology-fed society.. these monsters will only create and produce more of their kind like the worst form of cancer that self replicates. SO..sorrow for the beast is understandable, but sorrow dosen't cease, or deter the process it causes.
