UPDATE: Karina Valencia has been found safe and sound in Sylmar, California after disappearing following a friend's birthday party Saturday night. She was pulled over in a car driven by an unnamed 20-year-old man. Police believe she may have met the guy on MySpace. See update after the jump...

Karina Valencia was attending a birthday party in Sylmar, California when she left at around 6:30 Saturday night. She hasn't been seen since. Police believe she may have left to meet a man she'd met on MySpace, but they're not saying what's raised this suspicion.

The search for the girl has centered on Palmdale, California, 42 miles from where Katina was last seen. Police reportedly discovered a signal from her cell phone there. But they still have no idea whether Karina left willingly or has been kidnapped.

Karina is 5-foot-3 and weighs 90 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white Madonna shirt and black shorts.

UPDATE: Karina has been found safe and sound in Sylmar, California.

A patrolman noticed a girl resembling her duck down in an attempt to hide as he drove past a car. So he pulled the car over and found Karina in the company of a 20-year-old man.

Both were brought in for questioning last night, and Karina was reunited with her family. We don't have any other details on the case, other than Karina apparently left on her own and was not under any duress. She'd been spotted in Sylmar by a friend the day before, leading police to concentrate their search in that city.

Police believe she may have met the alleged man on MySpace, but we're still not sure what -- if any -- charges he'll face.
