Bedtime Reading from the Village Voice Empire: The mother of four was originally arrested for supposedly sexing up a Canadian kid she met through World of Warcraft. But the charges were dropped, and now she's claiming police assaulted her. Houston Press has the story.

I played WOW for about 2 years. It is not 30 a month it is 15 a month, still it was fun for a little while. It is definately a sinking hole of addiction and Im glad to say ive been clean from WOW for over a year now! Thank you, Thank you. I kicked the habit with Modern Warfare.... haha. Things like this happen. There was a girl in my guild that lived 4 hours from me, that actually came to my wedding. She was a pretty cool girl, and wasnt an old lady trying to sex up the tweens at my reception, so it worked out better than this meeting did.
I guess you can no longer say that any female you meet in WoW (or online for that matter) is most likely a 40 year old virgin man living in his grandparent's basement! Although from her picture, a 40 year old male virgin might be preferable! The 16 year old boy should consider himself very lucky that some 400 lb Comic Book Guy didn't show up off the plane. Seriously, no one is who they say they are online. I can choose gender, name, and any pics I want to make myself be someone that I am not. You have to be an utter n00b to take people at face-value on the internet and expect yonder 20 year old to actually be 20, or a H.P.O.A. to actually be a 42 year old mother of four, or that Craigslist Callgirl to actually look like her picture in her Escort Services post. If you still insist on hooking up with people irl that you met on the Internet, then Caveat Emptor (or prepare to get something you weren't expecting).

What is it about World of Warcraft? I have family members who are addicted to this game! I refuse to pay $30 a month to play a game online. On top of my internet charges. My sisters and a nephew tried to get me involved. So i downloaded it. Then when it said i had to do automatic payment monthly of $30 bucks, i said No way and deleted it! I rather play my facebook games (Free) or my installed games (which i already paid for in person) Aint giving someone my information so i can be hacked (again). I guess i am simple and can enjoy myself with my little PS one and play Crash banicot or Spiro! Dumb people.
There are "sex tourism laws" (google it) in the US that people in the US have been charged under for traveling to other countries and having sex with underage children. However, in this case, I imagine it's a gray area since 16 is legal age in Canada. After all, two thirds of US states have 16 as their legal age of consent, and only some of those have age difference limitations on the older partner.
isn't there some kind of sex-tourism statute they could use?
i guess technically she didn't do anything illegal. even if she thought the kid was 20, the consensual age in canada is 16. however, being a mother of 4 and already getting into some pedo shit in the recent past, you'd think she'd have the presence of mind to not screw up again. Oh, wait, she's playing WOW. any presence of mind is out the window.
She should feel lucky the charges were dropped in the first place.
