Michael Rosen, Moron of the Day: How Not To Fake Your Own Death

Instead of just taking the hit like a good boy, he pretended to be his brother, walked into a court house, and presented a death certificate indicating that one Michael Rosen, age 42, had died the week before. The case was dismissed.
But his probation officer was a little suspicious, since he had just talked to Rosen the week before. So he called a probation officer in another jurisdiction -- who was also supervising Rosen -- only to find out that Rosen had checked in with that officer four days after he was supposed to be dead.
Of course, Rosen could have been resurrected like some minor league Christ. But officials doubted it, believing it doubtful that the Second Coming would be a petty criminal.
Then another probation officer noticed that the death certificate had used the wrong term for "cardiac-respiratory," the supposed cause of Rosen's demise. It also misspelled his place of birth and the cemetery in which he'd allegedly been buried. Moreover, the cemetery had no record of a Michael Rosen being buried there.
So police have issued an arrest warrant for our hero, who's traded in his driving without a license charge for a fresh new round of forgery and counterfeiting hits.
