UPDATE: After heavy questioning from detectives, Bobby Petty -- Nina Keown's ex-husband and the last person to see her alive -- has led police to her body in a wooded area near Bethlehem, Indiana. He says they were both high at the time of the murder. See update after the jump...

Nina Keown, a 26-year-old mother of two, had already divorced Bobby Petty. But the pair continued to make intermittent attempts to rebuild their relationship. It didn't always go well. Three weeks ago, they attended the HopStock Music Festival in Scottsburg, Indiana.

It seems Nina had a good time and got a little too hammered. She began arguing with Bobby, and they decided to leave on his ATV for his home, which is only two miles away from the rock and blue grass fest's site.

But they continued to argue as they rode along. That's when Nina announced she wanted to return to the festivities. She got off the ATV and began walking back through woods and fields to the festival grounds. Walking, however, might be overstating it a little, since Bobby says she was so hammered that she was having difficulty remaining upright and mobile.

Since there's no dealing with a hammered person -- especially your ex-wife, who likely still harbors grudges galore -- Bobby continued on to his house.

Yet no one ever saw Nina return to the festival. In fact, no one's seen her since.

Police have spent the past three weeks conducting ground and aerial searches for the missing woman, but to no avail. It would seem doubtful that Nina simply wandered off and capsized, since police would have likely found her by now. And at least publicly, detectives say Bobby isn't a suspect.

That would lead us to believe that Nina met a more nefarious fate.

UPDATE: Police have issued an arrest warrant for Nina's ex-husband.

The warrant is for a probation violation and not related to Nina's disappearance, but it does allow detectives to lock him up while they continue their search. Police say he's been cooperative throughout their investigation, though he has refused to take a polygraph.

He was scheduled to be in court next week for an April incident in which he allegedly hit Nina. Nina, obviously, would have been the main witness against him.

According to Scott County Sheriff John Lizenby, hopes are dimming of finding Nina alive. "We fear for the worst," he told WDRB-TV. "I think that's fair to say,"

"He's always really been a person of interest just simply because he was the last person to see her and because of his criminal background and because of his and hers domestic violence issues. But a suspect yet, I can't go to that level because the evidence hasn't been tangible enough to point to him."

UPDATE II: Bobby Petty leads police to his ex-wife's body.

Theirs was a violent relationship that included several domestic battery charges against Bobby. It now appears that violence led to murder.

As Bobby sat in jail on an unrelated charge, detectives believe that his wife's murder began to gnaw at him. During repeated police questioning, he finally admitted to killing her and led them to her body.

Police still aren't saying why or how she died, but she was found in the woods near Bethlehem, Indiana, about 15 miles away from the festival where she was last seen. One detective said Bobby confessed they were both high at the time of Nina's murder, but that's all the information we have.

Nina had a protection order against Bobby, but she dismissed it last month.
