But two raids on the family's home have neither produced an arrest nor led police to finding the girl.
Then Cheryl Carroll-Lagerwey, who fancies herself as a psychic, had a dream. Kiesha appeared in it, and seemed to provide Carroll-Lagerwey with the gut instincts on where to find the girl's body.
So along with a friend, Carroll-Lagerwey went to scout a nature preserve. They didn't find Kiesha, but they did find another body, which had been wrapped in plastic with the head and limbs missing. Police believe it may be the remains of Kristi McDougall, a 31-year-old mom from Sydney who went missing in June.
Kiesha still hasn't been found, but it seems a little bit beyond coincidence Carroll-Lagerwey was able to locate a body based on a dream, even if it was someone else's remains. While we've never bought the powers of psychics -- they always seemed to be more possessed by getting your money than offering supernatural intel -- this story gives us pause.
So what do you think, dear reader? Are there really people who can divine otherworldly incidents that the rest of us cannot? Or was this just the luck of a charlatan?
