Rose Johnson Accused of Making Kids Have Sex and Eat Their Own Feces

Breakfast Reading from the Village Voice Empire: A girl says she was forced to have sex with other kids beginning at age 5, and that the grandmother would sometimes pay children to perform sex acts. Her punishment was even worse. Seattle Weekly has the story.

yes Mark-I have an old friend that was with cps in Reno for a while, she said alot of the children she worked with had been enduring abuse for quite some time but didn't come forward because they were afraid no one would believe them. This kid had the guts to speak out and look what happened? god damn it...
@cw, that kind of got under my skin too. Chances are that either the police found no evidence to substantiate the child's claims, or the parents of the child tried to brush the whole incident under the rug when police investigated. Regardless, it could have been stopped much earlier. In cases like this, I almost wish that the District Attorney would have the balls to take suspects for which there is not enough evidence for a conviction to Court any way. The amount of press the case would have got would have been the equivalent of a Public Service Announcement warning her community about what she was doing. Even though she would have walked, the Community would have continued to hold her suspect and not trusted her around their children ever again.
why didn't they do something when the first child came forward? why wait until more children have been victimized? this makes me sick to my stomach...literally
I don't know if it is just because these crimes get more press than they used to, or if old grannies just aren't as sweet and innocent as they once used to be, but where once it was rare that women, let alone grandmas were pedophiles, now it seems to be the more common trend. Why can't these sick grandmas hook up with that sick, pervy, creepy old man Herbert down the street instead of going all sick and pervo on kids? Just because someone is towards the end of their life and someone's grandma doesn't mean they should be exempt from spending the rest of their life in prison either! (And hopefully the Jury of her Peers won't be swayed when she bakes them brownies either!)
This, sadly, reminds me of the Sylvia Likens case back in the 60s. How can adults be so depraved and force children to do such awful things??
This is beyond your usual fu*@ed up case on this website. This woman should get beatings and be raped with a mop head everyday in prison. What really pissed me off was that the statute of limitations for assault has run out on the majority of her abuses.
