Robert Durst, The Millionaire Cross-Dressing Serial Killer

• The very sad fact about Robert Durst is that got off SCOTT FREE after murdering no less than three people. Unbelievable! What with Durst and OJ Simpson and others, it really DOES appear that money can buy you justice and freedom in the USA! How sad for the families of Durst's victim. Hopefully the inexorable wheels of justice will catch up with this loathsome creature in time!

• Hey that's awesome I didn't know this scary lil guy got locked up again! Haha that's awesome! I actually bumped Into this scary guy, or rather he walked into my nippy JRT one night In the summer of 2007 on broadway and 65 th street as I was standing outside of a deli waiting for my wife and son to come out. I was standing there with my nice new bikes too thinking to myself oh which homey is going to mug me for my bikes tonight? Well all of a sudden durst comes around the corner on to broadway and my dog flies off my arm which she usually does and pulled my towards durst who jumped back with fright and then when he realized it was just a feisty lil jrt he stood there watching me which seemed like an eternity but was probably only 10 to 20 seconds but in that timespan I thought what does this homo want now? As I thought he was checking me out And then he just started walking down the street and talking to himself My brain had Been trying to figure out where I knew this guy from and when he started yakking to himself as he walked down broadway towards Columbus circle a light bulb went off and I realized who he was And I felt quite lucky and thankful that this Freaky tranny did t pull out a pistol or something. Then I heard he bought a 3 million dollar condo in the ues I'm like WTF wants to live Ned to this tran? Well obviously he must have been really sick to go back to Texas. It's because the law my home is my castle doctrine is the big reason was sprung. They need to find out more evidence about the other 2 crimes as this guy will likely do the sane shit again I wish my lil dog would have taken a lil bite too. That would have been well deserved if he would have gotten closer to her! Hehe

• Rob, you are truly a sad individual. Of course this Durst character is a scumbag, but your comments make you sound like Archie Bunker. You want to profile white neighborhoods looking for anyone in a trenchcoat. Now that's funny. You should write comedy and keep your comments to yourself. It's people like you they should be looking for, not the people who feel free to express themselves in odd ways.

• Read the book A Deadly Secret by Matt Birkbeck to get the full story on this wacko. Birkbeck wrote one of my favorite true crime books A BEAUTIFUL CHILD and tells the Durst story with the same intensity. A Deadly Secret was just released on Kindle with a new chapter, so everyone is now up to date.

• Most ignorant people in America are scared of black youth wearing baggie pants, I'm afraid of white men who wear trench coats, shorts in the winter and of course womens clothing. These are the kind of fools you really need to fear, the ones who are pure evil and get away with it for years. I think the police need to start profiling white neighborhoods and really start taking a bite out of crime instead of arresting the same poor blacks over and over. We need to make them earn their doughnuts.

• It was pretty classic how he got caught violating his Parole. He returned to the scene of his crime and literally bumped into the Judge who heard his case there! Unfortunately I can't find anywhere that states how long he will be away for now. (I'm assuming his Parole was for the same length of time as his original sentence.)

• I haven't read it since the last time I was on crimelibrary.com becoz the guys mugshot gave me the creeps so I didn't know he was back in jail. Anyway you'd think he'd be smart enough to stay out of trouble after beating a murder rap (OJ Simpson anyone) but obviously not!

• I read all the pages. Although he plea-bargained for 5 years in prison and served his time, but he then turned around and violated the terms of his Probation in 2008 whereupon the Judge sent him back to prison without passing "GO" and collecting $200. That is where he is now (and will most likely stay till at least 2012).

• You had Herbert Garrison for your History teacher at school? Sweet! ;) Between the horrific stereotype in South Park, and douche-bags like this murderer, it's no wonder that Cross-dressers that come out of the closet get the flak that they do, even though it is probably more common of a fetish than most might think. (Still though, my all time favorite Cross-Dresser fictional or actual...aside from Eddie Izzard...was Captain Shakespeare in Stardust. Robert De Niro really owned that role and made Cross-Dressing fun and more socially acceptable than it ever was before.)

• There is a cross dressing History professor at my school. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't weird but [insert proper pronoun here] is very nice, well spoken, well educated and a really good prof. They put up with a lot of crap and it's not cool.

• Wow! He was done in by a sudden urge to steal a chicken salad sandwich on pumpernickel and a single bandaid from a grocery store even though he had $500 in cash on him at the time?!?!? That's class! (I know a lot of multi-millionaires that often can't pay for ordinary things because they don't have cash on them or aren't liquid enough to actually afford anything, but this guy didn't even have *THAT* excuse!) What is it with Transvestite criminals? I have a lot of respect for Executive Transvestites like Eddie Izzard (who is God in my humble opinion) but every other Transvestite seems to have a penchant for melodrama and crime. (For example, I know an ex-member of the 80's band Flock of Seagulls that is a fugly Transvestite who is an even uglier drunk who has gotten 86'd from every bar in my town. After he creeped out enough of us we found out he was a Registered Sex Offender and has a thing for little boys.) Hey, I have an open mind and can handle a d00d in a wig, dress and high-heels. To each their own...but seriously, if you are going to follow an alternative lifestyle have the common sense to not follow an alternative lifestyle of crime as well! I'm sure the rest of the Transvestite community will appreciate it if you refrain from such. Good thing this guy got nabbed. His murder spree will now come to an end and he will finally face the Swift Fist O' Justice that he should have faced when he got bailed out and went on the lam. Money might help you run from Justice for a while, but eventually either the money runs out or your luck does. Either way the Piper still must be paid his due.

• I know that money can't buy you everything, but I was thinking it could at least buy you sanity.
