Video: Car Goes Airborne Before Ramming Bridge

• The stupidity of some people in this nation baffles me. He should be lucky he is alive and consider this a lesson learned.

• rj, That is him. He flew across both lanes and rolled in front of the white car on the right hand side before coming to a stop. The car on the shoulder hit their brakes just to avoid rolling over him.

• Oh yeah. he had some speed going there. He is extremely lucky he is somewhat alive. But then again beer and weed will relax the body so it 'goes with the flow' That's what happeneds with drunk drivers. they are soooo relaxed and at impact the body just goes with it. Unlike a sober person who tightens up. Thats how most are killed. the tighten up and fearing the worst. I was hit head on once by drunk driver. I didn't have seat belt on (ok, i come from a generation that didn't need to use one! sorry!) Anyways, i went through windshield. Cops told me that by not having it on is what saved my life. all i got was a concussion and a cut on my neck and a few on my forehead. I took blow to head through window onto hood of car. other driver didnt even get a scratch. And she hit the windshield as well. Ok let the 'brain damaged' jokes begain!! I have heard them all!!!

• this is morbid but it sure does look like the object that makes it all the way to the right hand side of the road upper screen is him.

• Oh man that video made me want to throw up.

• WHOA. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid, people. I'm saying that I understand wanting to pass left-lane squatters who refuse to move out of the way of a faster car approaching. It looks like he passed on the shoulder. It's a joke. So it's the cop's camera, so what? And Sarah I think you mean "cop car's recorder." I love when people try to correct me but then are grammatically incorrect! :) I'm surprised the driver lived to tell the tale. Good for him. Hope he finds his jail or prison cell a comfort.

• That is the cop cars recorder obviously, not anyone filming.

• Uhmmm, the speed limit is 65 & the left lane squatter is 65 and the problem is? It is legal to pass on right side. Cops won't normally volunteer this, but it is legal. If you do it to often with left lane passes that may be construed as weaving. There is no law against passing on the right at least in some states. When I come up on a cop driving the speed limit I don't get all ansy & fucking pass him like he is standing still. that is just moronic!!!! I think he was unhappy since his parents are still paying his bills and now he has to tell them that he was breaking their trust and the law six ways to Sunday. So he acted male like & became irate. 50/ 50. Became more unstable or more self assured, that is the curse of testosterone. Hopefully, he will shape up given a new lease on life. He was critical but cognizant while taken to the ER.

• This was about 10 minutes from my job. This kid was going nearly 100 mph. He was arrested an hour before the crash and released. Police said that he passed field sobriety tests however they are investigating that claim by the police officer that originally arrested him. When he was arrested he had a young girl with him and her father made her go home with him. Lucky for her. He is still alive and in critical condition. Oh and LilD, the person filming was a police officer. It was his dash cam.

• I understand the lengths people will go to get around a left-lane squatter, like the person filming.

• I don't think I've ever seen a car destroyed like this-even in the movies.
