• Here's what stumps me: If this genius was going to rape somebody, why go with a 71 year old? I mean, since he just knocked on her door, why not go door to door until you find some sexy bitch and rape HER instead of the elderly woman who wouldn't provide much pleasure in the first place? • This act was something on his mind for a while. I agree ALEXA, that its likely he would do it again if given a chance. There hasnt been any mention as to whether or not he knew the victim, or if there was also a potential robbery motive involved. (was the "I'm homeless" ruse just a ruse,or was he actually homeless? it's likely a homeless guy getting ready to rape a granny would rob her too, possibly to support a drug/alcohol habit.) He was controlled and capable enough to knock on the door and gain acess to the victim and her home by using the -woe is me- Ruse. Yet there is no mention of how long he was in the house or where he attacked her. I'm wondering if they were in the kitchen. Perhaps she offered him something to eat and he attack her? If he was drunk as hell she probably would have smelled it and been more wary, but who knows? youre right Alexa, Rapists are usually in it for power and control. Sometimes sex plays a role too though for those opportunistic types. I believe in many of those instances the offender does it as an afterthought while comitting another crime.(like robbery.) I would be curious to know if it was reported that he knocked on any other doors before going to the old womans house? (this would help determine if he had a specific victim in mind, or simply chose the first available one he came across.) I hope to read more on this soon. Something with more specific details.

The person performing sexual behavior doesn't have to understand what is driving him, but that drive's aim is to maximize grandchildren. Since were talking about household items we can use as weapons...the other day I heard this noise like my front door had opened and right outside my bedroom door I had left a folding metal chair cause I'd been fixing something I couldn't reach. • I live in the same city that this occured in. It is a small community, so yes we leave our doors open, or used to. This happened at about 7:00am, she was expecting her son when she opened the door for this loser. He explained he was drunk,cold and homeless, and she felt bad for his sorry ass. Still no excuse to let him in, but that is her nature, she is a very kind lady. I've started keeping my doors locked and garage door closed when I'm home.

• Ok. First of all Kudos to Granny!!!! But i'm a little mixed up on the rest. Who the hell actually walks up to some strangers house, knocks and tells them he is homeless and wants to come in? Is this is the Kansas Homeless manual? If someone knocked on my door and told me they were homeless, well i would close the door, call 911 and then get a pen and paper write the number for the nearest shelter and (keeping chain on door) crack door, shove number through and shut door quickly. In this day and age, with sick fuckers out there, no one is safe. I love to leave my door open with screen door open in summertime, but s/o won't allow it. and all doors are to be locked 24/7 I sometimes feel as if i'm a prisoner in my own home. We open windows while we are home, but they are closed and locked every night (1st floor only) and it's creeps like this that cause us to be prisoners in our own homes. I have a cast iron skillet. and that sucker is very heavy. it was my mom's and it must weight at less 10 lbs. Let someone attempt to enter my house. Between skillet and my guns, he doesn't have a chance.
