Michael James Lee, Ex-Deputy, Rapes & Kidnaps Wife, Then Murders His Mother

In case you haven’t had enough weirdness from Copland today, we bring you the tale of 24-year-old Michael James Lee, a former jail guard for the Ada County Sheriff”s office in Boise. He was fired a year ago for reasons unknown, and that now looks like a very good call…

Yesterday, with his 4-month-old daughter in the house, he decided to rape his 20-year-old wife. Then he tied her up with tape and chains, stuffed her in the trunk of his car, and drove to his mother’s house in Eagle, Idaho.

It seems Lee, his daughter, his mom and her partner had a delightful supper. Then 46-year-old Lynn Marie Blake’s partner went to take a nap. That’s when she heard a noise and returned to the kitchen, only to find Lee stabbing his mom multiple times. She tried to intervene, but Lee tried to attack her as well. So the partner ran from the house.

During the entire event, Lee’s wife was still trapped in the trunk of the car. But she finally found an emergency latch and escaped. When police arrived, Lee was still at the home, but his mother was dead.

Mrs. Lee and mom’s partner appear to be okay. But Lee, who has no criminal history, is now charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping,
rape and assault. Police have yet to release a motive for the attack.
