Ann Timson may be 75 years old, but she's clearly the toughest guy in Northampton, England -- man or woman. She was doing a little shopping the other day when she encountered masked robbers about to take down a jewelry store...
There were six in all, three armed with sledgehammers to break the windows and steal jewelry from the window display, and three serving as getaway drivers on motorbikes. But this being England, two of the getaway vehicles were actually mopeds. And as you can see from the video, one of the guys is having a helluva time trying to bust a window. With a sledgehammer.
Now you know why we had to bail their ass out in The Big One.
As employees cower in the store, and one guy emerging from the shop goes back in to engage in additional cowering, Ann thought the robbers were beating someone up. And Ann Timson does not like people getting beat up.
As you can see in the background, she comes running down the street in her red coat and begins to pummel them with her purse. The bad guys drop their jewelry and begin to take flight. But Ann keeps hammering them until two fall off their little moped.
A moped, for chrissakes!
Her bravery finally inspired others to leap into action. Four men were captured, and two are still on the loose.
