Ashley Couch Wings Baby Into Snowbank While Chasing Baby's Daddy

The 21-year old Couch was in the midst of an argument with the 18-day old baby's daddy, 19-year old Deontae Thurmond, around 8 a.m. in the morning. She'd asked him to go get milk, and Thurmond balked. ("Isn't that why God gave you titties?")
When Thurmond left, Couch followed him out into the 16 degree temperatures and when he started running to get away, she chased after him. (Ah, true love.) It's unclear whether Couch was trying to hit Thurmond with the baby as he went long, or just tossing the child aside because it was loading her down. (Something she might have considered seven months ago.)
Someone getting off a transit bus noticed the scene and called 911. The Good Samaritan then retrieved the baby, which Couch came back and grabbed from him. Police arrived moments later, before she could return to her house, a block away, and took the baby into custody.
The baby was uninjured by the snow-toss, but its core body temperature had dropped to 95 degrees, below which hypothermia begins to set in. It's currently at the Hennepin County Medical Cetner, where its condition has been upgraded from critical to serious.
Both parents were arrested. Thurmond was charged with misdemeanor domestic assault, and Couch has been charged with suspicion of child neglect. (Ya think?)The baby's been put in protective custody. (Special thanks to reader Sangelia for the tip.)
