Whether she couldn't find a babysitter, or simply wasn't up the to hassle, we're not sure. What we do know is that she went anyway, assuming the baby boy would simply microwave himself some nachos and watch the NBA playoffs. Go Bulls!
But someone called in an anonymous tip to the sheriff's office, saying that the baby was home alone. When the cops showed up at her apartment, they found Leah gone. So they traced down her cell phone and gave her a call.
Sure enough, Leah admitted to leaving the baby home alone to find love amid the clashing of pins and remarkable shoe fashion.
So the cops rammed in her door to make sure the boy was okay. He was. But he hadn't been able to make those nachos, since he had yet to gain a mastery of microwave operation.
As for Leah, her date didn't end in the searing romance she had hoped for. Her baby was taken by social workers and given to her parents, and Leah was charged with cruelty toward a child and child neglect, which rarely seems to fuel one's libidinal aspirations.

What do you mean? It's not considered bad parenting to bring a baby with you to a bowling alley. It's child neglect to leave him all alone at home.

Yeah assuming there was someone willing to anonymously call in a tip the baby was alone, there was someone who could have watched the baby if asked. I just don't think she cared.....
hope her family reams her several new ones for how she was towards taking care of her offspring..and lets hope she never gets the kid back..and lets hope that she gets her tubes tied in at least two different ways. one is actually cutting them. the other is a blocking method. and there is a blocking method that makes the body grow into and around the item. thus making it part of the organ it is placed into..the last one, Essure is the one I was thinking of.
I should start renting mine out for babysitting jobs. I mean, he's great with kids, will keep out intruders, and knows how to pull food out of the garbage. What rate should I go for? $5 an hour?

I have a 7 yr old daughter. From the moment she was born, she became the most important person in my world. I will never love another person as unconditionally as I do her (unless I have another one.)

It's sad that only now this whole issue of child neglect is highlighted with the Casey Anthony trial. Worthless parents have been doing this crap for years. Too bad it doesn't take a psych exam to determine the ability to reproduce. Seems that people are getting more and more selfish these days.

It does seem so unfair doesn't it -- I know several couples who would make wonderful parents but are having difficulty having kids.
She's probably happy her parents got the baby, and if she gets off with no jail time, she'll just be out partying all the time. It's like they've given her what she wanted, a permanent babysitter. Hope she gets some sort of real punishment. Glad the baby is okay.
