During a recent relief mishap, his mom and Guyer -- who's not his biological father -- shuttered him in his room as punishment for two months. The child also says his mother beat him before by striking him across the nose, while Guyer cracked him with a belt so he "wouldn't get into stuff."
The allegations only came to light when Damien's grandmother took the child to a hospital after noticing welts and bruises on various parts of his body.
Last Thursday, both Plesniak and Guyer were charged with false imprisonment, aggravated assault and child endangerment. District Judge Armand Martin has ordered the couple to avoid contact with the boy's grandparents and some neighbors, who may testify against them in their trial.
In the meantime, Damien is recovering from his injuries in the care of his grandparents.

i am so sick of people hurting kids i think you should throw them in with the killers in prison and tell what they did the law needs to change
Thank heaven for a Grandma that put the child before her own daughter. I wish all people would put all children first. I was very young when I had my 1st son, I was alone 90% of the time & I never mistreated or struck him. I don't know why I am shocked anymore at these types of stories, women constantly putting men over their kids & letting men harm their children. It makes me sick.
Finally, a family member that steps up and takes action. It's good to hear that he is in the hands of caring family instead of ending up tortured to death like so many other children.
Does anyone know any six year old who doesn't have accidents? Frustration comes with the Parenting, though it's up to you to FIND THE RIGHT WAY to handle it
very true. rare if a kid does not have a few accidents..when we go traveling, we stick a sheet of plastic under the bottom sheet of the bed our daughter sleeps in. this way, if she does have a accident. only the sheet will get wet..been doing it for years. we just have to remember to remove the plastic when we head home after a trip.
Glad his grandma finally noticed, and actually did something about it! I wonder if it was the bio-dad's mother, or the mom's mother? I hope he's getting the help he needs, poor little guy.
OK how did the 6yr old go to bathroom locked in his room? no school right so he was unable to tell histeacher right so happy the grandma steped in he will be in a better home.. I hope the mother neaver see's her son the boyfriends needs to be charged also.
Sometimes when an older child has "accidents", it is a good indication of an underlying problem, such as sexual abuse, physical abuse, etc. This poor little lad may have been suffering for awhile. Thank goodness Grandma came to his rescue. I dated a guy once who's son was displaying some bizarre behavior at school. He was soiling himself at school and peeing his pants almost daily. We found out that his mother (whom he lived with) was more concerned with drugs and alcohol than taking care of the little guy. He was eating candy bars for dinner and getting himself up and dressed for school. No socks or underwear. The poor little guy had to succom to daily lice checks because he had the little critters so bad and so often. I'm really not sure what he had seen or been subjected to, but he was pretty messed up for awhile. He came to live with us and never had any more accidents and did very well. I used to find him hiding in the closet hiding away food. Once he had opened a whole box of poptarts and had them all together eating them all at once. It took me a quite a while to get him to understand that he didn't need to do that and he could get something to eat whenever he was hungry. I really freakin hate the parents for putting their babies through such hell. Damn them all.
We fostered two of my cousin's boys for a while, a few years back. They would steal food too, it was so sad that they thought they had to do that. Their parents were arrested for having a meth lab in their basement, made me wonder what else those boys had been through, other than drug addict parents. I will say though, that their parents did straighten up their act, and got their kids back-they are all doing really good now, which is not the norm.
On a side note, quit fucking spelling names wrong in the hope your child will be "unique". This bitch sure is, but really, just spell it Crystal and be done with it. I worked as a teachers aide for a while and holy heck, the spellings would blow your mind. The extra letters and interpretive spellings...roll call was a joy.
Thank you! Just because it's spelled differently doesn't make it a unique name. Years ago a lady tried to sound out the name 'Virginia' for her new born daughter but ended up spelling it 'Vagina' LOL Someone at the hospital eventually brought it to her attention and she changed it to Virginia.
It drives me nuts. It also seems to have gotten more prevalent in recent years. I didn't pick a winner for my son, but I did spell it the most common way. Unfortunately, there are at least six other ways to spell it as well. I did my best.

Two months in a little closet. More scumbags who abuse a kid for peeing. Idiots should be locked in a tiny confinement cell with no toilet and forced to live in their own waste for 2 months, while Grandma who obviously cares about him takes custody.
I think we can officially add PA as the "fucked up state" of parents now, since IL and wherever else were ahead of the count...and I LIVE here! Gad. All of you who are wondering about them looking alike, in parts of rural PA, it is indeed entirely possible...it is not just relegated to West Virginia...I've seen some scary families here. Anyway, it is good that a relative stepped in, a lot of these cases you see so many who knew of the abuse and only speak up afterwards to keep themselves out of trouble. I hope this kid stays with those who give a shit about him. What a lifetime of trauma.

I'm glad the grandmother did something about it. Too many times the family doesn't report things like this for various reasons. Sometimes it's because they don't want to care for the kids either, sometimes it's because of denial. Whatever the excuse, I'm glad this grandmother didn't have one!
