Charlotte Lovell was 74-years-old, had stage 4 cancer and Alzheimer's to boot. So in February, daughter Alicia Henderson moved into Charlotte's West Palm Beach home to care for her. But Alicia is to doting daughters what Michele Bachmann is to IQ tests...

Over the next two days, Charlotte was only given candy and popcorn to eat. At one point, Alicia locked her in the bathroom. She also took away the elderly woman's clothes, telling her she had to earn them back.

Alicia punched her in the face and kicked her in the back when she fell and spilled a cup of water. Over a 48 hour period, police say she beat Charlotte in the face and head 5-10 times.

During one final attack, Charlotte managed to flee the house and call 911. She was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

For reasons unknown, it would take the great state of Florida months to complete her autopsy. But last week, her death was ruled a homicide.

Despite systematically killing her own mother, Alicia's only been charged with manslaughter.
