Heres a scenario, imagine your husband or partner was a gaurd at this place. Would you be proud of him when he came home and told you he raped a pedophile in the ass? or would you be slightly worried about his sexuality and the fact that he had raped a person?
Beatings and other forms of torcher are perfectly fine, it seems to me that these gaurds were getting their jollies off to this. It takes a special kind of person to be able to commit these acts, they are known as rapists. The gaurds are no better than the cons here. Although if he had just pointed the pedo's out and let the rest of the prison population deal with them, i would have no issue.
Daisy, pretty much everybody agrees with that. The problem with these guards is that they were targeting other inmates also. Pedo's and rapists? Have at it. But I don't believe that anyone in jail should be fair game.

This story bothers me. I believe that pedophiles should be punished beyond the scope of the law and learn what it's like to be powerless, but what these men did was depraved. They used their position to torture and humiliate other men and performed acts of sexual violence. I won't lie, I'm not that worried about the pedophiles getting called out and the guards allowing other prisoners to have at them, but when the guards were raping gay and trans prisoners that crossed a line I have. We have no idea what those prisoners were in for, they could have been pedophiles but they could have been in for drug violations or fraud or petty theft. Little things that held no real weight. Those prisoners are the ones I worry about, those prisoners are the reason I want these men jailed for everything they can get on them. Just imagine going to prison for a little check fraud only to be systematically raped and tortured by the men guarding you.
I'll finish by saying that, yes, these men were criminals but not all of them were baby-raping monsters and that needs to be taken into account.

While I feel no sympathy for pedophiles (or wife beaters or baby killers or animal abusers) that get their ass kicked in prison, I also feel like he took it to an extreme that was scary and way outside a simple beat down or two.Like most rapists, I suspect this was all about the power for him-- he had it and he used it on anyone he wanted, no matter the crime.

I'm really really trying hard to give a damn. That normal rational law abiding person in me is saying this is disgusting all those involved need to be prosecuted and punished to the fullest degree BUT the Mother in me is saying GOOD and I hope everyone who suffered at his hands felt every second of shame and pain they inflicted on those who also couldn't protect themselves.

Now I see....Though if some of these guys were child molesters I am not really bleeding in the heart for them, then again if this guy as a C.O. does stuff like this, who is to say what HE does out in the real world too. Sure, if you don't want the potential consequences of jail, don't end up there, but that doesn't mean that the consequences are justified or in any way acceptable. And plenty of people haven't done anything wrong and still ended up in jail. But hey. Eff 'em. Literally. ;)
I think something like 60 percent of all inmates are in on drug charges, Joyful, which wouldn't qualify for guard sodomy for me either.

Matter of fact, on their prison clothes there should be a patch or something signifying the crime you were convicted of. I don't feel bad for pedo's being raped, tortured or anything else.
