Looks like a hack job to me
Just like you want to know your pilot has flown a plane before, it's fair to assume your surgeon has a medical license -- at the very least. Prosecutors in San Francisco have charged 49-year-old Carlos Guzmangarza with performing invasive medical procedures on women in the city's Mission District, despite the fact he has never been to medical school. Instead, Guzmangarza stole the identify of a physician 's assistant and operated a clinic where he treated patients for acne and also performed liposuction on at least one woman that we know of. The victim was apparently so thrilled by the low cost of her procedure that she didn't seem to care he was smoking a cigar while operating on her, according to the District Attorney. SF Weekly has the full story.
