Smash-and-grab robberies don't get much more brazen than this: At a jewelry store in Houston's posh Galleria mall, men storm in, push customers (including a kid) aside and start breaking open the cases. Security video caught it all; the men remain on the loose.Houston Press has the story.

Probably both, drugs seem to cause people to think they're invincible. lol
I dont think the footage will show anything that will lead to an arrest, they probably used a stolen car or at least had the licence plate covered over. Id say their biggest problem will be getting rid of the merchandise. People are going to notice guys trying to sell off expensive rolex watches etc. Best chance they would have is to wait at least 6 months if not more before trying to sell it off, of course smash and grab robbers are probably not known for their patience so will have to wait and see on this one.
This happened on Dec 22nd. I'm thinking somebody's Christmas budget ran out before they got to the end of their 'To Buy' list... :)
These guys either have some big brass balls or possibly some big addictions..
Shit like this is why I worry so much about my kids every time they walk out the door...You just never know when some crazy animals might show up and ruin your day at the mall. Glad they didn't hurt anyone.

Hey, with the security footage and the footage outside in the parking area, which I'm sure there is, this will or at least should be an easy one for the HPD. But this type of crime has become a more happening event lately. If you think about it, 3 or 4 people do a smash and grab, launder the goods, get the cash. Now if they're never caught, the split is great. More times than many, they end up getting found out though.
