Gelareh Bagherzadeh: Activist Against Iranian Government Mysteriously Murdered In Houston

Gelareh Bagherzadeh, 30, was a medical student and a prominent critic of the Iranian regime, giving several interviews on the issue to various Houston media. Early Sunday morning, she was gunned down in her car in her parent's well-to-do neighborhood in a drive-by shooting. Police say they don;t knew if her activism is connected to her murder.Houston Press has the story.

Too bad for this young lady. She was an activist for all the right reasons and there may be some terrorist whispers within it all. Who knows why this girl was subjected to an early death. It's a crying shame is what it is. RIP little one.
Well, your average Iranian would probably be disgusted enough at her driving her own car and being out by herself without (a male!) chaperone, never mind her opinions of their sacred homeland. I'm sure even if it was a random killing nothing to do with her opinions, her death is still being celebrated as an honourable killing by more than a few Iranians. Seems a bit too much of a coincidence for it to be a random killing though.
