Breakfast reading from the Village Voice Empire: After Stover allegedly claimed she had uterine cancer, co-workers donated paid leave so she could undergo experimental treatments that turned out to be bogus, and covered her car payments, mortgage and more. Westword has the story.

Jeez, I've got friends with instructions to do away with me if I'm ever in need of a perminent nurse type in my home. The idea of me needing someone to care for me means that my time is up. Just put me in the ovens and throw the ashes out in the trash.
What a paste-face. No wonder she got away with claiming she was ill, she doesn't look particularly healthy.

Ah yes, and speaking of pasty - i see more than my fair share of it here. Seems they can only go two colours - pasty white or lobster red (after day one of a mediterranean holiday) :)
I generally run quite hot so the cold doesnt really bother me but I know what you mean, people here take it to extremes. Especially on a weekend when out clubbing etc, girls outside at 2am in the freezing cold wearing nothing but a miniskirt and an eyepatch for a top. Its great lol
It took me at least 3 years after moving here before i started getting used to the lack of clothing when people go out here - even in the middle of winter... :)

after day 1 of a mediterranean holiday? lol if the temperature hits about 7 degrees here people are out in their shorts and t-shirt trying to catch the elusive rays. I always find it funny when we get the smallest bit of sun yet it is still freezing the shops are packed out with people doing bbq's.
Me either. Plus all those 30 samaritans who went out of their way to help her out will now be so much more hesitant to help anyone ever again. Low and disgusting are two words that come to mind. Oh, got another one - karma. I don't wish cancer on anyone, but i'm sure karma will do her thing and kick her in the backside at some point.
