Breakfast reading from the Village Voice Empire: Reeves and companion Kimberly McCaffrey discovered the bodies of the man and his nine-year-old son in a van. The wallet was easy to snag, but the gun was tougher. Luckily, there was a hacksaw. Westword has the story.

I would like to think that any rational person (regardless of their living situation), upon finding such a scene, would contact the police - especially since there was a 9-year old boy involved. Instead, these pieces of filth tries to justify their actions by blaming their lot in life. Honestly, if you don't like your lot in life, then either change your lot or change your life.
The ending to this story: the Universe has its own version of karma, and that involves a very small room and a roommate named "Tiny".
Wouldn't you know it, an excuse for everything these days. Grant you, the money, yes, enough to get gas and a phone call to the nearest police station. As for the rest of the crime, nuh uh, terrible, just terrible. The two jail baits are definately without any human feeling and appear to be sociopathetic. Jesus, to think the situation allows and constitutes no wrong doing? Now here's a couple that definately belong with each other. Like My2 said, this is just sinking to the lowest. I would have contacted someone immediately, and with that I'd have explained my situation to LE. 10 - 1 they'd have gotten me a place to stay, some eats and a probable thank you. Damn, witless dummies without a clue. Shit, you may as well just keep em locked up for a long time on the taxpayers dime. Who know's what these two are apt to do when they're released.
Well those two are definitely a couple of asswipes. Omg... not like it wasn't bad enough the dead man killed that child and then themselves... but then these two had the nerve to steal his wallet and cut his fingers off for the gun...omg... people sink so low. And to say that anyone would have done the same in their situation... well, nothing like trying rationalize your stupidity and lack of moral compass.
Yes, because I don't see myself searching the body of a dead man for his wallet or hacking off his fingers to steal his gun. That is disgusting.
It sounds like it was a mercy killing because they were freezing to death. How sad.
