Julie Johnson-Garcia Allegedly Let Wannabe Cops Take Certification Test on Honor System

Breakfast reading from the Village Voice Empire: A pair of cadets failed the exam twice, but when they showed up for a third try, proctor Johnson-Garcia was out of tests -- so she e-mailed them copies. Lo and behold, they passed, and then shared the info with pals. Westword has the story.

So if she's getting prosecuted for being a dumbass, shouldn't something be done to the cadets who originally started passing the test around and the cabets who continued to pass the test around? If nothing else, I think they should at least be re-tested properly. Though, come to think of it, it's not my State, so...
so they basically had an open book test and the best they could do was an 82 and 84??? I made an 89 on mine and it most certianly was not open book.

It is sad that they couldn't score higher than that. Most agencies at least reorder the test questions and use 4 or 5 different tests so candidates can't cheat. Sad that they have to do that but this is why. People still cheat to get by instead of doing the right thing and actually learning.
I wonder why she did it. Seems weird that she didn't get paid or laid or something for her trouble.
I could agree with that, but you don't think the guy told them it was the real thing when he was handing it out to them?
I could kind of see how the other people in the study group would just assume the test was a practice test though, not the real thing. Practice tests are used all the time to prepare for the real thing. I think all those who passed after studying the test should have to take the test over again.
Personally, anyone who took that test with the answers provided by someone else, should be fired. They obviously didn't pass the test on their own, why should they be allowed to continue working as a cop. If you are not going to have the integrity to take this test without cheating, why should you be trusted to uphold the law, we have enough cops that don't follow the rules now, do we really need more? As far as the test giver, fired... she knew that wasn't the right way to do that either....geesh
Okay, so #1 they use the same test over and over and over again? They don't like, change the questions up any? SMH. And #2 - even WITH the test next to their study material, they only managed to get 82 and 84%??? SMDH.
