If the instructors have paper copies of the grades they issued, the cops could go back into last years' grading and find out who received bumps in their grades. Of those, students who are in top colleges might face expulsion for having been accepted under false pretenses.
Right now, I wouldn't want to be any of the students who took part in having my grades adjusted or the whistleblower, much less the trio who did the grade changing. Those who did the grade changing are facing criminal charges and a few years in the big house. Those who got their grades changed are facing suspension and maybe losing out on attending colleges or universities to which they've applied. The whistleblower is likely going to be ostracized, regardless of having done the right thing, for being a snitch. I imagine that person's yearbook won't be signed by many people at the end of the year.
well all I can say is... at least no one died, was raped or injured... yes I know what they did was wrong... but you have to be thankful for small wonders
