Student's Mushroom Fueled Nude Rescue
Troy Lowrie, Strip Club Owner, Not Rehired as High School Coach After Prostitution Charge Dropped
Breakfast reading from the Village Voice Empire: Lowrie was sacked from his side job coaching tennis after parents were informed of his arrest under a new school board rule. That rule has now been dropped, along with the case, but the school won't budge. Westword has the story.

If it had been me, I would have shot myself before freezing to death.
Too bad how our military men and women are so affected by their
service. I saw an interview of a military advocate who said that more of our troops committed suicide in 2009-2010 than the number who died in the line of service during the entire Iraq war!
I am supposing that freezing to death is very unpleasant. I know that the week I spent at the hospital with my sister I nearly froze my ass off even with the blankets they gave me and I was extremely miserable.
Its horrible that the woman died and im not defending the guy or anything but PTSD can be a really messed up thing. My cousin was a royal marine and was in Afghanistan once and Iraq twice, after the second return from Iraq he just wasnt the same and we were all very worried about him. He luckily got his head straightened out, met a nice American lady, got married and is now a coast gaurd in Florida. They just had a son not too long ago. Point is we dont know what this guy went through or seen in Iraq, he may have not been sane.
I can't disagree with you about PTSD, I've had some dear friends who went to Iraq, that it really screwed them up. I also had two uncles that went to Viet Nam that suffered horribly from it, unfortunately at that time there was no PTSD, no one really understood what the problem was.
I am glad the found him dead. Didn't have time to read the article but I'm assuming he killed himself. Always nice when these pricks decide to take the chicken s*it way out but at least it saves the tax dollars.
hEY mY2...kEEP POSTING THE LINKS. yOU SEEM TO BE MORE UP ON THE NEWS THAN DISQUE...LOL...U GO GURL!
Yeah, he did freeze to death, which made me very happy. When I first heard he was dead I was pissed, b/c I figured he killed himself, and I wondered why the fuck couldn't he just kill himself to begin with and leave the poor innocent woman out of it? Anyway, I'm glad he froze and I hope it was a miserable lonely death.
This is also off topic, but if they can't bother to give us current stories...I'm gonna throw a link or two on here...
This one is just really sad
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45...
You'd think that after they stole the vehicle and saw the prostetic [sp] leg they would have had a heart and returned it after the joyride. What heartless pricks.
Not surprised though, if they would steal a car parked right next to a wheelchair ramp, don't see them taking the time to leave the poor guy his legs or even the wheelchair.
My lord My2. I really appreciate the new stuff, but holy crap. That could make the water works to turn on. Jeez. Toooo sad.
Oh I know, this just broke my heart.... some bastard doing this guy this way...just so pisses me off. The man gives his time serving his country not to mention body parts and some asswipe does this to him. I feel so bad for his him and his wife.
This story smells of someone not likeing someone who knows someone, etc. I don't think this guys close to being a perv and just because he owns a business with strippers is no reason to shun. He's an employer offering opportunity, that's all.
It's completely off - topic, but so crazy I have to share. Rick Santorum, a prospective candidate for President of the United States, had a child who died two hours after being born. Instead of calling a funeral home, Santorum and his wife took the deceased baby home and kept it there until the following day, to hold it, introduce it to the other kids, etc.! Holy - insane - shitballs! Is it just me, or is this super creepy?
Now that's just super crazy. Wow, I don't know if I could do that. I have a hard enough time holding an animal when it has to be put down. Good tid bit of info though. Thanx.
IDK, but I can see it for the mother's sake but I'm not sure it would be good for smaller siblings to see. It must be unmercifully painful to carry a baby to full term and then to lose it.
I can see a few minutes or hours or even overnight w/ the baby at the hospital, and perhaps allowing some of the kids who were old enough to visit. But removing a dead person from the hospital and taking them home for a sleepover? That strikes me as p-r-e-t-t-y strange.
I suppose that it is strange given that most people don't do this. But I can remember as a child, my great grandmother even grandparents having wakes for family members in their home for a couple of days. My crazy a$$ed great granny would keep going over to them and patting their hands and talking to them and crying, kissing them on their dead cheeks. As a kid I was tormented by that. But I can see that happening more so with a baby than old dead folks.
I do think whoever at the debate that brought it up was a complete twit for doing so.
It's a little weird - but maybe it's just what you're used to. In Holland it's quite normal to have the deceased at home (granted, in the coffin) for people to say goodbye to until the final journey to crematorium / graveyard. I actually think it's quite endearing that they gave the other children a chance to meet him without the surreality of a coffin etc. How else are young children going to understand that for so long they were going to have a little brother or sister, and then suddenly nothing?
But then the other part of me just thinks about the leakage issues and thinks 'EWWW'! I'm guessing if they took him home straightaway he wouldn't have been embalmed yet?
I remember when this story came out after he'd been struck off. I still think the prostitution charge is bogus - sounds like somebody just needed an excuse to strike him off. I mean you don't just embark impulsively on running stripclubs in a matter of months - surely he was already doing that when he applied for and got the coaching job?
I also think the idea behind the rule that now needs a re-vote is good, and i would certainly like to know if somebody who worked at my kids' school was arrested for kiddy-diddling, but needs a lot more refining. And i think Troy with the thick skin is the perfect person to bring that to everybody's attention.
I would want to know if there were perverts at my children's school but I really don't want to be bothered with a slew of accusations towards people unless they were known to be true. I don't want to waste my time thinking and worrying about false accusations. People are so info hungry these days for crap like this and its way too fast & easy to destroy someone's reputation before you can investigate and get to the truth.
The article made me think he was innocent but even if he is guilty he is due his day in court before he is libeled.
