Judge John Kane Forces Denver to Surrender Eight Years of Excessive Force Complaints

Breakfast reading from the Village Voice Empire: After a cop was involved in two alleged brutality cases in three days, Kane ordered the city to pony up piles of records. The city officials balked -- so he threatened to fine them $5,000 a day until they caved. Westword has the story.
