Yes, My2Cents in CO the age of consent is 17 unless the adult is a teacher & I understand that in many states the age of consent has been lowered, but this is wrong. The legal age for starting to have sex should be 18 because 18 is the age when you've passed puberty. I know the legislatures of many states have lowered the consent age to 16, but again, this is wrong. Perhaps I didn't write it well but my point is that the legal consent age should be 18 & if they wanted to make it 20 as it used to be in some states, then that's fine with me as some people don't pass puberty until they're 20 so if it were up to me the legal minimum age would be @least 18 to @ most 20. Unfortunately, I don't think this can be that clear cut. There are people who hit puberty before the legal age, and there are people who hit it after. There are people who are mentally prepared for sex before the legal age as well as after. The tricky thing is determining when they are physically and mentally capable of having sex, and that just doesn't fall to a specific age for the general population.
