Breakfast reading from the Village Voice Empire: Lucero's public defender insists his alleged acts of torture were mutually agreed upon by his partners. Does that go for the two he branded with a hot iron and the one he doused with motor oil? Westword has the story.

There are some people who love the whole bondage and pain thing, so its not so out of the world to think that these woman enjoyed it. Its not my thing but I do know a couple of woman who want pain when we do it, and not just a little pain but real pain. I only go so far but have watched some really hurt and crying for more, they say once they let go there is nothing like it. So this guy is a freak, but so are the woman that let him do it, and I do belive they wanted to be part of this............................. May not approve but this is a free country or used to be.......................................
I believe, legally speaking, an assault is an assault whether it is consensual or not. Even during sex.
Uh, hey time, the man wouldn't be facing the charges if the women hadn't come forward and made the complaint, so although your argument stands well alone, it does not bid well with this case.
Holy Shit!!! Unbelievable. If this sorry excuse for a man is found innocent on any of these charges, socity itself will regret it. Something like this could be a terrible blow to many women and men alike who have had to deal with abuse. It appears this guy has quite the past but also a fair to mildly cloudy arguement. With only a public defender assisting him he is actually building a good case on his own behalf. This is the type of story I'd like to see end with a victim just dusting him off so that it would no longer be a basis for possible innocense. This guy needs to be found guilty!!!
Very very tricky. So one of the women didn't object to being branded, ok - not my scene, but i know some people are into that. Sad part is that because of that this douchebag actually has quite the argument for saying it was all consensual. Let's hope the jury has some common sense and sees this asshole for what he is.

Morning all! And a fine morning it is, too. The sky is this funny light blue colour that i've only ever seen on tv before, and there's this great ball of fire hovering above. So either that must be the sun, or there's a meteor headed for earth in which case we're fucked anyway so we might as well enjoy our last few moments! :)
I think its pretty common to claim its consensual. But, even most people who are into bondage to it for the psychological thrill, not for broken bones. UGH. I LMAO at the motor oil part. Seems lame in comparison to the rest of the injuries. Maybe she preferred crisco.
