Driver Hits Man, Checks Car For Damage, Then Leaves Him To Die

The driver of a Honda sedan has priorities -- just really, really bad ones. he hit a pedestrian around 2 a.m., drove a block and stopped -- to check his car for damage -- and then took off again. The pedestrian died. Houston Press has the story.

At 2am? How much do we want to bet the driver was bladdered?
We should just have to be able to charge somebody as DUI if they ran from the accident scene - even if they weren't there to do a breathalizer test. You run, you're screwed. You weren't drunk you say? Then you should have stayed behind and proved it.
Oh he'll get charged, hit and run, which is always more substantial, with or without breathalizer. Just hope they will catch this clown before he runs over someone else.
Damn, well it's a prettyt sad state of affairs when you can't even walk down the street without someone running you down. So many white Honda's out there too. I sure hope they can find this one and bring him/her to justice. Maybe that won't happen but we can all hope.
