Two dental-office workers have been arrested after they were caught selling the gold their boss used to put in grills, and from old fillings. They even tried to sell a bloodstained tooth that had a gold filling, cops say. Houston Press has the story.
I wonder what's their reason for doing those. It's one thing to use their boss' gold as filling, but it's another thing to sell a tooth with even bloodstain in it still. What were they thinking? I'm sure that my Bartlett dentist will be very disappointed to hear this.
This is appalling! No wonder there have been a buzz going on around the brentwood dental clinic about dental assistants. We should all be wary of those crooks!
In my line of work as a gold buyer I get dental gold quite often. I must admit it's really gross sometimes. I hate it when there is a whole tooth still attached to it. I usually make the owner of the gold put it on the scale. I guess things are tough all over, but stealing teet seems a little ghoulish.
Grills always remind me of Jaws in the Bond movies. Too funny.
All I can say is wow, what a way to jack your life up at 42. Isn't that a little too old to begin a jail stint?
If I were the judge I would give them a suspended sentence for selling the grills. Grills look absolutely stupid and the people wearing them even stupider.
I'm gonna have to agree with you there. They're so damned ugly. So are gold teeth, for that matter. I only want pearly whites for my teeth, personally. I never understood the appeal of gold in the mouth, it's like advertising poor dental hygeine, IMO.
I like pearly whites too. Yet, it is more of an American ideal than anything else. Since childhood I have enjoyed the benefit of world travel and I will tell you this...from London to Hong Kong it's gold teeth every where you look. Doesn't matter which country you go to it is gold, gold, gold.

Hey, as long as we're trying to avoid the wrong idea - my smile is actually nice & clean & white. It's just when i open my mouth that it looks like a black hole collection with a spot of gold here and there. I fucked them up in my teenage years when my hormones were forcing me - FORCING ME i tell ya - to eat sweets. I'm obsessive about cleaning them now. Then again i'm just a UK import anyway, so that may also have something to do with having been able to avoid Austin Powers Mouth... :)
Some places are nice, if it is scenery you are looking for then the south of the country is your best option. If you want to see sectarian grafitti and the occassional riot go to Belfast lol.
Yeh the UK isnt great for dental hygiene. I dont understand it, I dont even feel human until I have brushed and used mouthwash.
I will admit to having 2 gold teeth. But, they are behind my widest "just read tcr story about stupid criminal" grin, so i don't think they count. NHS here won't pay for white crowns if the teeth are hidden when you smile, so since i wasn't exactly in the financially fortunate place to fork out a shitload more money myself, i didn't really have a choice.
Eh, i look at it as my own little savings plan. If i'm ever THAT poor that i can't afford to buy food, i can always sell off my teeth. Wait... i'm sensing a flaw in that logic... hang on, it'll come to me...
Well, it doesn't appear to me that the out of mouth gold carries no crime, however, the prescription stuff sure does. Oh well guess they'll have to pay the state it's dues and of course, find a different type of employment as I don't see anyone hiring them in the firld of dentistry.
