Merhawi Ocbamichael Charged as an Adult for Robberies -- But Should He Have Been?

Breakfast reading from the Village Voice Empire: Ocbamichael allegedly committed six armed robberies when he was still seventeen. Even as the DA charged him as an adult, legislation advanced that would have prevented this move without a hearing. Westword has the story.

You guys are idiots lol.. I actually knew Merhawi and I can't believe he was stupid enough to do the shit he did the way he was doing it. Should he be found guilty, yes, he should be charged as an adult. It shows a pattern of criminal activity. 1 year doesn't make a difference to me.

Couldn't agree more. He was a couple of months from hitting eighteen, and I don't see any magical change coming when he does that will make him a good, upstanding citizen. LE definitely got it right this time...

Oh, he'd fare okay in the joint Stan. This kid is part of a gang of thugs. He's doing what we call in the US, putting in work...Gang term for robbing, piliging, any criminal act that brings in cash or gives more cred to the gang scum. It does open your eyes a bit more to see just how dangerous the world is getting. My bet, with the economy so fckd up, is that it's going to get worse, alot worse.
